I've been playing eve for about 5 months now and I still haven't got a BS. Does anyone know the best ways to get money for a BS e.g. Producing, mining etc. I thought about buying a bpc for either an arma or apoc but with the war goin on its gettin to hard to get hold of megacyte and zydrine?

Persistance my friend...mining is the fastest way to a BS...and also the most boring...Then you have to insure, and what you going to do with it then? PvP? not likely...need xperience and money...so guess what happens....you mine more...then look at better BS...then mine more...then get blown up...then need new insurance....then mine more....then get......
you get the point...

I earned my first BS mining omber and kernite, Its very helpful to get a second account and run them both at the same time to do that on one comp. I think I used to make about 10 to 15 million isk on a good day with 2 vexxors and a bestower in .5 to .2 systems. In fact in a .5 system with 3 civilian sheild boosters and pirates that had no missles I just ran my sheilds indefinitly and let them plink away at me. Take you a week or two that way to get a BS.

I love my scord :D. With my setup i make about 7mil in scord in 200 minutes, roughly.

or you hunt a nice spawn location for 15min a day, sell the rare loot drops, and rake in 10mil.. then go to bed

Try karjaitimon moon4 (think thats the spelling).
Its a 0.3sec system with 30k and 20k NPCs.
It seems to drop good stuff.

I've been playing for just over a month and I have mined and did some NPC hunting. Just barely put a dent in the cost for a battleship. Started my own corporation and have a buddy of mine in it and we mined about 2 hours tday and made about 3-3.5 million ISK. All we mined was Pyroxeres, Plagioclase, Omber, Kermite, and some Jaspet. We was pulling in about 15k ore every 15 minutes. we did all this with one Moa fitted with 3 miner 2's, and 3 mining drones, and a Badger MKII with one Miner 2.

Mining is just boring... i mined only enough to get a cheap iterion II, did two more mining runs with it and then startet trading...
If you have a close look on the market, you often find systems one or two jumps apart, where you can earn about half a mil per trip.
(My personal tip: transport datasheets, they cost only 150 isk, and you can often sell them for 161 but use only 0.1 m¦ per unit...do the math, if you are flying with about 5k cargo ;)

Small scale mineral trading is another way to make money. Go to one of the big noob starting points and put in a constellation-wide buy order for Nox at say 200 isk per unit (at that price, you'll outbid all the professional mineral traders). Then collect the minerals and travel around selling them to NPC:s at 256 per unit. It only works on a small scale, but is a nice change from the mining.

ive found a few areas where one can farm up multiple 8k,20k, and 30k NPC. with my setup i make about 300k every 30min or less..on a good night i make over a mill in about an hour...then there is loot to be had

darth mate have you cleared out aunenen? if not karjataimon is not a good option since you have to go through aun or ecp and especialy aunenen is a jump-in-point-pirate-podding-fest (tm) 
Try gergish or imya... nice 0,5 (or 0,6) systems
down in Genesis region. (don`t remember the planets...I^m at work now)...
sniff oh the memories...lost my first and -hopefuly- last thorax in imya

the only problem u will have by NPC killing in hi sec systems, is that everyone is doing it, cause of no risk from pirates.
And whats with all the containers everywhere??.
PPl just spend hours there, hard to have it to yourself.
Oh and the answer to aunenen is, to either travel thru just after sever up, or check ppl in space.
