I do not join guilds or corporations it's spam me with invites
but I am interested in joining a group but please talk to me first
I do have a working microphone I prefer to use voice chat to talk to people
back on the topic at hand is there anyway I can filter out the spam? |

If you mean random mails.
There is a "way", which is make your CSPA very high. Downside to that is, some people that you do want to contact you won't contact you.

Well, that really depends on where you are.
Clellinon (1 of the 3 Gallente Career systems) usually has a very nice local, random people (old & new) talking about all kinds of stuff, only occasionally you will see some random dude pass by and spam their advert.

Jita however, will make your eyes bleed within seconds and have you run to the kitchen cabinet to reach for the bleach to rinse your eyes. I just got done blowing somebody up in Clellinon
yeah I totally ignore local chat especially right now but the guy was considered a criminal |

There is an auto reject setting in the escape menu. I'm not sure if that is just for private convos are if it includes corp invites.
As far as the CSPA charge it does not have to be very high I don't think to get rid of spam mail if you just set if up or down one isk from the default which is something like 2950 most people won't pay that for spam and people that still have a legit reason to talk to you can.
The ability to invite someone to your corp is very very new. If there is not a way to shut it off you should file a ticket as that almost has to be an oversight. I can see it being left on by default but not being able to opt out does not seem like an intentional design.

Lots of corporations spam new players with corp invites.
It is not local. It is notifications and in your list of Corp applications.
No way to auto decline these that I know of. And they even get tagged the same way as invites you have send yourself when you decline them, so can't easy see what is a desperate for member corps that spam invited you 4 years ago, and what was a corp you liked and applied to yourself.
You might want to block the spam sender, they will often resend the invite when you have declined it.
Personally I just add them to a list of corps definitely not worth joining. |
