So, as anyone really following the new information has probably caught by now, CCP is steering the new structures away from strontium timers, in favor of static timers with some variance. Given that the two uses for strontium are POS reinforcement timers, and dreadnaught siege cycles, and with the role of dreadnaughts drying up faster than some metaphor for things drying up really fast, there's going to be little usage for stront and even less consumption of it.
I wonder, will CCP try to incorporate it somehow into fuel consumption of the new structures, some other aspect, or are they just going to leave it as a giant bulky byproduct of null ice, that you discard for being not worth its weight.
Alternatively, perhaps they will remove it from ice and increase the other products to compensate? |

Right, and with the sov dynamic shifting to lighter ships being used, and nothing big to rep up, we should be seeing far less of both of those, too. |

the price of it will probably lower with the lack of uses as the game becomes more "cruiser online" itll probably become a thing that's just sold for what ever price someone will buy it at, I haven't been watching the key notes between their lengths I hear about and doing school and work

im still bitter about the whole "vulnerability time" mechanic, it just seems terribly arcadey and arbitrary. and gives too much incentive to timezone discrimination in recruitment. right now alliances have serious reasons to have everybody recruited, because they could get harassed at any time, with the new system, they only need other people if their enemy just happens to be from that TZ, but in all likelyhood they wont fight that person because the number of euros to join say a USTZ alliance will be terribly low compared to the oens joining the other EUTZ alliance. |

There's rumor they're scrapping the primetime window, but I haven't found any evidence yet, only word of mouth. Frankly I think the window is fine, just far too short. |

Get rid of technetium and you've got a game again.

Unless, of course, you want to attack someone in a timezone other than your own... ever....
Recruiting only for your prime time is fine if you never intend to attack other players, but I think most would find that terribly limiting. Nor is it a very efficient use of your systems resources. Of course we won't know for sure until things are more concrete, but I'm reasonably certain those that focus all of the members into one timezone will be far worse off on a number of levels than those that have a broader timezone base to utilize.

That would be sad. I remember when I was still pretty new at the game, and when someone mentioned that they had Strontium Clathrates, I asked if they had gotten checked at the clinic yet.

I personally find it odd when certain fuels seem to power various completely different things. I can understand fuels being used to power similar objects and all.
Overall, I think things are fine. Sky is not falling.

No skyfalling here, Mr Bond.
