Seems like the only place I can find them is on auction sites for real life $$$. Wish CCP could/would do something about it.
Only think I can think of is seed some more BPO's into the R&D agents. Maybe Kali will give us an opportunity to get some BPC's and bring the prices down to reasonable levels.

T2 above Frig are closely held inter-alliance, with members getting them for cheap from their alliance and then reselling them for idiot prices.
HULK barges are held by cartels, being sold either to deep 0.0 alliances or macro miners in empire.

this is what ebay does - that and GTC sellers but i support that - the BPO restriction has led to this situation - of course if done right kali will lower prices and destory some of the cartel behaviour but not all - resellers will attempt to elevate prices for a bit but wont last long

Ah yes, every alliance BPO holder just LOVES their ships being resold... Anyone caught doing it would not be sold any more cheap T2.

Proof? Or Conjecture?

depends on the alliance really - if the players were smart they would only resell one in 5 that they were given and use an alt or 2nd account and possibly even use ingame channels to acomplish this sales process to avoid detection - tho the obvious ones just pile em up in empire and use their main (most of the time they are kicked from alliacne or declined access to cheap supplies)

But you won't be sold a second ship without a loss mail for the first on the board (well, maybe you'd get 2, but no more really)

T2 ships prices are high enough, I doubt people who buy them from alliance and resell. Who wouldn't want cheap HACs? Ships are there, if you can't afford them at the price you want, don't complain about them. If you want them cheap, don't buy them. Ares is cheap but nobody wants them.

And how would said producer know that their ship is being resold? They can't track objects through the DB. All the individual needs to do is pass the ship off to someone else for resale and buy another one from the corp/alliance. You'd be amazed at how many alliances don't (or for logistics reasons across hundreds or thousands of users can't) track this activity aggressively.

All you need to do is watch a mackinaw mob or HULK mob sitting at a belt from DT to DT doing the same activity and you'd have your proof.
Empire is glutted with macros. Check ice belts and be amazed.

We know macros exist. That is not what would be described as a surprise. However, suggesting that all Hulk/Mackinaw BPOs are owned by macrominer cartels is a pretty strong accusation, and I'm asking for proof. Prices are one thing: hugely inflated t2 prices always exist, and 23/7 miners are obviously willing to pay more because they make the ISK back faster.

Because everyone who has the needed dedication to mine for any extended period of time is a macrominer.

i can confirm not all hulks are owned by macro miner outfits those smart players that got the BPO offers have hooked up with various manufactures to get the most of it.
