Let's say you log in one day and are faced with a dilemma, capsuleers are only allowed to fly one racial line of ships and as a bonus only one pirate faction that ties in with the racial line you picked (so if you pick gallente you can't pick blood raiders). All SP in other racial ships lines are refunded for you to spend as you please.
I think I'd go Amarr, I've always been fond of their hull designs and not having to reload with lasers is wonderful. I also like the versatility of the Sisters of EVE ships for exploration so would end up going down that route.

Caldari and Guristas, because I love missiles and the guristas provide superior missile and drone control, and shields.
although I must confess its limiting when a race is tied to several factions
Caldari are Mordu, Sasha, and guristas ship alone.
I was hoping this post was along the lines of if you woke up one day in eve as your capsuleer type deals, but this works.
I often think of something along the lines of Event Horizon, I swore that anime raided my brain, except instead of just the player its a small aoe that takes a whole population around the each player

I got the Curse, Pilgrim, and Geddon as great neut ships. I can switch to missiles with the T2 ships. Archons are awesome, the Abaddon can work great as a brick and can do a 1400mm variation if need be.
Guardians are king in RR amount if you can run a 5/1 setup :P
And we can run indefinitely with our lasers in structure bashing and living out in "the void".

Amarr have always been my favorite based on appearance so I would go with Amarr and SOE.
I've found a new appreciation for the Gallente and Minmatar fleets too recently though.
Caldari can suck it. |

Definitely Gallente.
A) It was my first race. Nostalgia FTW.
B) Quite flexible in terms of fitting options. Minny ships may be a bit more flexible, but I find they tend to lack the raw damage and EHP you can get out of Gallente hulls. |

As much as I'd love to say Amarr, I'd have to go with Gallente. They have the Ishtar, Proteus, Celestis, Megathron and tons of other extremely powerful ship. Too bad most of them look like shiny turds, though (although I have to admit, the Megathron is still one of the best looking battleships, tied with the Apocalypse). |
