Hey all.
I got a small question I'd hope to get answered.
The thing is, a friend of mine told me to go do missions in Amarr space when I started to do missions because I had a slightly higher faction standing with the Amarrians over the other states.
However, I've noticed now that Gistii are Angels, which normally hang out in Minmatar space (I am of Minmatarar origin myself so I should have stayed in Minmatar perhaps).
The thing is, I'm a Gistii Item collector. I'm doing level 3 missions currently so it doesn't bother me since there are no large faction loot drops in level III missions, however, I'll soon be doing level IV missions and I'd really like to face Gistii as often as possible.
So, did I shoot myself in the leg in going over to Amarr to do missions? Will I hardly see Gistii missions (I hardly do now; mostly Sansha, Blood Raider and Pithum) in Amarr regions?
I just changed agents and moved into Pator region. All of the sudden I got the mission "Angel Extravaganza" which I've never gotten before. Is Pator (the region I'm in now) a Minmatar region? Will I see a lot of angel mission since I'm in Pator? Does the region decide the mission types you get or is it the NPC's depending on what Race they belong to?
If anyone can answer all of those questions I would be really grateful.
Thanks in advance, Xenocide

I hate to burst your bubble, but Gist loot NEVER drops from missions. It only drops from Angel complexes (and bugged serpentis 3/10 ones). The Gist rats in missions actually drop much worse loot than regular angels, if they drop anything at all.
Welcome to the world of nerfed mission NPCs. (Which is of course alright since if the weren't nerfed the good stuff would be worthless) --------- ZOMG my sig was concordokkened! Link removed due to bad language on remote site. -wystler

Edited by: Xenocide on 21/10/2006 14:17:29 Thanks for the information.
Could you tell me how I find those Angel/serpentis complexes? Where are they? If you could give me tips on how to go about hunting them, I'd be really grateful.
Thanks again, Xenocide

For a Gistii collector you don't seem to know anything about them. I guess your Gistii collection must be really small. Or did you notice the best equipment was Gist type and decided you would ask the easiest way to get some for yourself?

Edited by: Xenocide on 21/10/2006 14:20:50 In response to your rude reply; there are other ways of collecting than actually going out there yourself and picking them off dead bodies. I buy them off Escrow market.
If every collector would have to go to the source, I guess a lot of collecting in the real world would be a really risky venture, don't you?
Think, then write.

Yeah, I know a lot of lvl 3 runners that buy gist stuff. Big money to be made in lvl 3s... I hear they give implants and stuff. Face it, you wanted to know where you could get the shiny pretty gist mods everyone talks about but decided to add glamour to your request in order to seem less newbish.

What the hell are you talking about?
The topic name of this forums was "Gistii Hunter Wannabe" which should clearly state that I haven't actually gone out to the source and gotten some for myself.
I am a Gistii Item hunter in the respect that I collect Gistii Items, that is "hunt" for them.
What the hell is your problem? If you are having a bad day then go bug someone else and leave me alone. You are being rude for no apparent reason.
Reply all you want. I'm done with you and your idiotic replies.
Is anyone that would actually care for a decent reply in the form of assistance please?

Leandro already told you where to get the items. What else do you need, driving directions?

Ehh yes?
If you actually care to think for one second before you write then you should notice that I asked him how I could find them.
For people that aren't complete morons like yourself, it might be rather easy for them to give kind instructions for me how to find those complexes.
Some people don't waist their day trying to ruin the day for others, but actually helping them. Until you showed up, I considered this forum void of *******s that live and breathe in hope of throwing dirt at others because of their own meager and sad little existence.
Thank god that the ratio of kind and helpful people Vs. morons like yourself is 99 to 1.
And now this is the final reply you and your sorry ass get. I mean it this time.
Xenocide.

Well you could try using http://eve.grismar.net/explorer/ That way you can find any complex, serpentis or angel, and sort them by distance to you. Not only that, you can find pretty much anything. Serpentis complexes are going to be camped to the point that you need to know when the gate keeper spawns in order to kill him and get the key. Meaning you could wait 11 hours and some dude pops logs in and you get nothing. As far as Angel complexes go, the high level ones are owned by alliances that wont let you simply strut in and take their stuff. You would need to be part of a 0.0 alliance that controls an angel complex. Short answer, if you are a real collector if these items, the easiest way is to train Raven, do level 4 missions and buy the stuff of escrow. That or camp the serpentis complex but then you have to fight versus the campers.

Edited by: Xenocide on 21/10/2006 16:11:10 Now that was a really helpful and informative reply. Thanks a lot.
I guess the ratio is back from: 99 to 1 <To> 100 to 0 :)

3/10 complexes have the potential to drop faction loot too, normally just after downtime is the best time to run one, sometimes i run a local drone plex near where i mission run and it sometimes drops shadow serp loot, but only just after downtime , the downside is the race to get to the last room, get the keys etc, so it can be frustrating to do when 5-6 others are trying. look for a few angels complexes in minmatar space and try them just after downtime, you may get the loot, you may not, but its always worth trying, good luck
