You are looking at an old version of the patch notes, we have also removed the Assist and Defend options. Capital ships will be re-balanced later this year, we will make them awesome again!
CCP... YOu removed one thing to replace it with another... and now... you decide to make fighters useless??? They are better than a drone. Doesn't that mean that Assist and Defend should be allowed? It was on the Test Server, on the Release note and all of a sudden those release notes are old???

Those Patch Notes which have a date of 3.23.15 still state Assist and Defend feature for Fighters.
Can you please link the Patch Notes which state otherwise?

The issue was that fighters were going to be allowed to be Asisted/Guarded.
The link you provided was refering to Fighter Deligation. Why CCP Rise decided to call it Assist is everyones mystery. Carriers were not able to "Assist/Guard" before this patch. It was Deligate. Deligate was what skynet was about. The Patch Notes for Scylla stated that the Deligate was being replaced by Assist/Guard. Once the patch came about, that feature as well was taken out Last Minute without letting the Eve Community know of this last minute change.
This is what the majority of Carrier/SuperCarrier pilots are upset about. CCP was trading one lasting Mechanic which made Carriers unique, to another Long Lasting Mechanic which would make carriers Big Logistic Shps with a Big Drone Bay.
But after Scylla release, no features were traded. Just Removed... |

I have noticed ever since the new patch released, my Frame Rates have dropped considerably. I no longer get 60 FPS on each client I run. I have a GTX 970 for one set of screens and a GTX 770 for the other. I did not have this issue before. I have tried updating to the latest GPU Driver and reverting back to the one I previously had as well. It also seems my latency has increased as well. Is there any way to disable the DoD feature? Does running multiple clients now with a shared Cache Folder affect FPS?
