Because I haven't.
So far I've been able to warp out, every time, at 1 second notice.
So is what I am getting normal? This may make me let my guard down, and get me wtfpwned in some later missions...
It looks like to me that there's numerous warp scrambling and webbing frigs in each mission, but at the same time their scrambling chance is very low.
Thanks. ---------- EvE Ship Classes now in poster format |

Eventually, one of them will get to you, so keep drones handy, or whatever you prefer to use. Anything whose name begins with Arch, Elder, or Strain will probably scramble given the chance. I've been scrambled in missions more than once, but I've been prepared for it and haven't lost any ships that way. Drone Interfacing is the way to go :)

I recently lost a Raven on my younger character due to warp scrams. I usually warp in with my highly skilled player and let them aggro him and then come in with my younger guy to help. Had to warp out my first character and I thought I could stay and get a few more kills but couldn't warp out when needed. Don't remember the mission but there was a total of +22 warp scrams.

I get scrambled on L3 Rogue Slave Traders 1/2 almost every single time. One of the two Elder Blood interceptors will usually scramble. One of the Caldari-specific missions - I forget the name, it's a multi-part Guristas one - also has two interceptors that scramble frequently.
A lot more of the L4s do.

It's not often I get scrambled by ships, but the Strain rogue drones tend to scramble a lot.

Edited by: Artefon on 22/10/2006 09:28:59 They do scramb, but the module is not ALWAYS active. Just like their armor repairing or shield boosting. Some use the module more often than others.

yes several times and its very worrying when your shield is out and your cap low and you have 300 mill worth of mods. One of those heart pounding moments.

With those forthcoming WCS changes (50% reduction in targeting range etc.) - is this the end of fitting them to your lvl 4 mission running ship.
To me they make all the difference for that get out clause or loose your expensive mods.
Its practically a standard setup for me to fit at least two.

1) Replace stabs with pdu's (now you can boost for longer!) 2) Kill frigs first (they are the scramblers) 3) It's "lose"
Seriously, a raven is missions on easy mode, you are probably making it harder by overloading on warpcore stabs.

1) replace something in your mids for a sensor booster (increase in targeting range and scan res) PDU really isnt much of a solution 2) Battleships / Cruisers / Drones all scramble but yes i'd agree mainly frigs.
im not sure how the WCS ultranerf is gonna effect mission runners but will be interesting at the very least.

I lost my 1st raven to a lvl4 warp scrambler
They are usually frigs so I popped all fo those and still couldn't get away. It was a BS that had me...and I was unable to pop him intime to get away.

Basicly knowledge is your best deffence against beeing scrambled.Do some research about the mission first,to get info about whats ships web/scramble you in a mission.Seek to take those out first in any group that agros you,or group that you target.I always use this tactic even when i know i can tank them, just in case Eve starts to do funny things. And its best to bail out than be left to the mercy of a dieing server

Not just frigs who scram. In the L3 "What goes around comes around" (or is it comes and goes?) the bounty hunter in the Moa scrams.

I fit 2 stabs when running missions just because all you need to do is launch drones at the wrong time or shoot a target that's too close to the others etc etc and suddenly the whole stage aggros and without stabs you are dead dead dead.
It's saved my raven more times than I can count - and while I now know the missions well enough that I still like having the get-out option...with 2 stabs it's pretty unlikely they will hold you down for long.
