I've seen to but I'm Le scared to attack it in my pve ship lol. I'm go get a frigate and hit one. Anyone know anything about them (or have any idea what the point of Drifters is) yet? |

How quick was it? Did it resemble a fair fight at all or were you smacked around like a child? Do they scram? Web? Jam? Any other Ewar? Any insight on the aggro mechanics (drone aggro?) Did you manage to do any damage to them? How far did you get? Do you still have the combat log?
I will try myself as soon as I get the chance, but no luck yet.. |

I was in an alliance fleet last night and a Drifter BS appeared on a gate (in bubbles no less) and actually killed a few guys as we were leaving. After it was dead some circadian seekers also showed up..
These NPC mofos don't play around lol. |

The only thing the drifters really have going for them is that damn super weapon, if it weren't for that we would be mopping the floor with them left and right.

Yes...didn't end well either. I got one shoted, granted I didn't have much of a tank I was in my explo curse and I just warped into the observatory grid and got owned by circadian and drifters.

I was testing some stuff on sisi last night luring seekers to stations then killing them. Killed about 25 of them and was picking up those new drops they and drifters drop. No drifters in site. The seekers would be about 5 at a time and when i got to last 5 more would come.
At first I would dock after i killed the 5 then come back out for the other 5 and they would get reinforced. The last 10 I killed I didn't dock between and killed the reinforcement and they stopped coming.
Today I was doing it on TQ to get the items. Only got one, killed 4 seekers total first group was only 2 and second group numbered 4, but the last 2 turned into a drifter and killed me all within a second.
Drifters are nasty. At least I didn't get podded I warped away once my eve went nuts telling me i lost my ship when I shouldn't have lost it to seekers. Possible proof the drifters work with seekers I guess. |

^this, they have been logged to volley through capitols....and the moment someone finds a way to solo them, CCP closes the hole right up...
Also, the NPC's killboards don't ever show losses....look at the regular drifters...absolutely no losses on the killboards...regardless of how many they have lost to players.

hmmm, it looks as though they have removed the carrier kills from the drifter's killboard....that is odd

Once the Drifter BS uses the Superweapon, it takes 5 minutes for it to reload. Have a buddy sacrifice themselves in something cheap, then make sure you can kill it within 5 minutes.
Now if you fighting on a station and died to one: try docking, reship quick, and kill it. Now of course I've noticed they like to warp away, so it might be you reship and when you undock they are gone. |

I attacked one and 4 seekers showed up. Killed them and 4 more showed up that were even tougher then the first 4.
Killed 3 of them and named Drifter showed up and proceeded to tear through my shields so I gtfo'd to station where they followed and camped me in station for 10 minutes. |

Well i started to rep as soon as i got hit 1st time and managed to get one rep cycle off my reps... basicaly died on 4 hits from both of them. To trigger your imagination try to imagive pvp between 20kg hammer and a tomato. They do scram you, however it is not regular scram and scram icon doesn't pop up. It some kind of a distortion field which prevents you from warping off. I did not observer any other sort of Ewar. Tbh i wan't given that much time :P . and yea i managed to get like 25 percent off their 1st shield layer. |

Im not going to waste time or resources to fight something solo that is obviously created for fleet fights or to block solo players from solving it while pointing on "Eve is a mulitplayer game". At least for me there is nobody in Eve id trust so far to fleet up with him except real life friends - usually in eve fleets only exist to shoot easily at the idiot who is naive enough to fleet with you hehe.
Why not make a free account, send a low toon with a rookie ship or something as cheap in while you use ur sniper BS until death ray comes and then warp back in and take it out? Probably that sites are some kind "marketing stuff" from CCP to generate many new accounts to satisfy the investors with statistics?
Im pretty sure someone will find a way to solo it, as it was with the besieged research centers, it is just a matter of time.
What is the loot in this sites? i doubt it is worth going for when u have to sacrifice a ship to maybe get something out :)

Wanted to test them out myself, did some research on sisi .... then
warped to 0 to a 'jove observatory' and 2 drifter bs were sitting there ...
i didnt do anything just stayed there, no targeting, aproaching e.t.c. was about to warp off to another system to hunt circadian seekers
after a small delay i was INSTALOCKED and ship INSTAPOPed ...
WTF ccp and game notes were that you dont get attacked if dont aggress them right ? |

Since i just returned after a 6 month break, i dont know what Antikythera is used for?

Antikythera are one ( there's probably more ) building material for the Enthosis link. Which should be available to build with the Mosaic update coming tomorrow. |
