Edited by: agrizla on 03/11/2003 00:12:41 I got booted out as I wasn't "dedicated enough". The fact my ADSL was flakey to say the least apparently isn't a factor. Perhaps I should call trap in the US next time it goes down eh?
So - anyone else want to offer me a position that lasts longer than three days and where you don't get ignored the whole time (when your connection is working of course)?
I should clarify that I didn't actually do any piracy while in SI - a combination of BT (this is a UK thing) and the reluctance of SI to actually tell me who were allies resulted in me attacking their allies. I got a list soon after though
NB - anyone who does offer me a position then please don't expect me to tell you anything about individuals or corps that have given me info in confidence. I don't work that way.
Edit - Once again either side of the law is OK. However this time I want to join a corp that actually has people online during peak GMT hours
4.8 mill skill points, 3 BSs, a couple of cruiser and the obligatory indy. This is really my last chance saloon for this game Show me that it's fun - please?

... If you didn't already, you might want to look up DB Preacher of Reikoku and see if they have some room for you... they definitely have people online around normal british hours, they shoot people (including their own ;) and are great fun to fly with.... ^^

Reikoku are excellent Agrizla, and fighting against pirates and biomass for the NVA is far more challenging work than camping gates ... even if the work does sometimes involve ... camping gates ;)
Seriously, if you are prepared to commmit to a corp and the ideals of the NVA you should be able to find a home in Venal and cause to believe in.

Join Killer Clowns, we don't require you to do anything at all. If you want to join us on our carneval of death, that's ok. If you want to mine, that's ok too. Piracy is fun, not profitable.

Keep on flaming, lamers.

Hey agrizla,
I would love to hear from you as Reikoku are always looking to bolster its forces. As j0 and jade say, we are a pvp corp who fight for the NVA. Corp is pretty simple, any money you make you keep, we dont bother mining so its fighting pretty much all the time.
I'll drop you a line in-game asap for a chat.
p.s. cheers j0 and jade for the mondo loving. I owe you both a dinner

Ill second that mate, join them and you will have some serious fun.
DB is a great dude to work with .
I tried to recruit u to our bounty hunting/ anti pirate corp before SI got u.
But if u join Reikoku, we will still be working together as we are friends with this great corp.

Thanks Viceroy. TBH I had the feeling I was gonna get booted from the moment I "met" Trap though.
Ah well it's only a game eh?

Sorted. I'd once again like to thank the people who offered positions - especially Deveraux who spent some time chatting with me. It was much appreciated and but for the horrendous distance I'd have had to haul my stuff I may well have gone with you.
However despite the fact DB lives in the wrong city I have gone to Reikoku. All seems well so far - as in people online and chatting to each other in the corp channel, but I'll wait and see.
/em goes back to hauling his stuff (again)

Ah so Dev couldn't convince you eh?
Too bad, we would have loved to have you. The important thing is you find the place that works best for you. Best of luck in your new home. _________________ "For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack."

Well the thing is it'd have taken me ~650 jumps to move all my stuff and to be quite frank with you I'd rather slit my wrists
The other thing was that you're a fairly big corp and I come from a (virtually) complete freelancer background. I'm used to dealing with things as they occur and being self-sufficient. I suspect I'd have found your corp a bit too much really - if you know what I mean. Anyway I have no doubt at all we'll be seeing each other soon - remind Dev of our personal agreement eh?

Ah well Jade I didn't actually shoot Biomass - even I could work that one out
I suppose I have joined the NVA although I don't really think of it that way. I've joined a bunch of people who seem to be having fun - and dear god it is a long time since I saw that in this game. Hopefully some of it rubs off on me
PS - your corp and I go back a lot further than you may think. I used to sell you (what was then) a load of minerals back in my mining days - Yvonne Pyros? Was that her name? Can't remember to be honest. Strange how things come full circle eh?

Ah yes Yvonne, the most successful member of Jericho and still going strong by refusing to post on the forums ... a lesson there somewhere ;)
Nice to have you in Reikoku though Agrizla, and you couldn't have chosen a more amusing outfit to have fun with!
