I've been cruising around Navula, Otsassi, Taisy, Hakonen, etc... for a while. It's fun. But sometimes it's hard to find prey. Other times, it's hard to find solo prey as most people these days seem to fly exclusively in gangs of two or more.
Don't get me wrong, I think gangs are fun. But given my schedule, I find few of my friends online at the same time as I am. So I've really started to get used to (and enjoy) flying solo and challenging myself to survive / prevail against whatever comes up.
But at this point I thought it prudent to ask the group for advice on good places to hunt. I fly a shiny little Ferox btw.

Yeah solo flying can be great fun. All areas above are ok. All i will say is try attacking more than 1 opponent at a time if u really want a good fight. most npc'ers are badly fitted and 1 bs well fitted and well skilled can take on 3 npc bs or low skilled badly fitted pvp bs that u often find in low sec.

I find a great place to hunt is in the woods. Especially for woodland animals.

hey praxor,
Usually hunt around the same places as you. Otsasai most of the time. Nalvula is good, but does have gangs from DSOTM roaming around. Can be a problem at times, as I generally solo play as well. Ship wise, well I think i'll keep that secret until we bump into each other ;)

Take a trip down through Dabrid to the dead end 0.4 at the bottom of Tash-Murkon. It's often busy there with mission runners.

Taisy seems ok to me and its not too many jumps from home, from what my corp mates say its better to rat hunt in 0.3 than in 0.4 - less pvp'ers

I hunt in those areas when im not in 0.0 and i have to give you some advice, taisy stay out of. its a gateway to 0.0 so your only *mainly* going to find gangs heading to 0.0
Otsasai, mainly mission runners, the occassional pirate and ratter in a belt, engage anyone you can find :P
Nalvula is generally filled with more pirates then ratters, i prefer otsasai
