What would be a good setup for gurista ratting? I have no T2s, so don't even bother with T2. I didn't find anything in the setups thread that made me happy :).

If the setups in the Armageddon thread didn't make you happy then you should find a setup close to what you like and change it to how you would like it. We can't read minds here on the forums to know what you want or don't want. ___________________

Try this (Based on my sansha setup)
7x Megapulse 1x nos (mby) 3 cap rechargers - or 2CR and an AB Large+med rep - 3 hardeners (2 kin 1 therm) 3 CPR's
5x wasp's in dronebay
Now afaik this runs the reps 23/7, you could go with two large reps but then you would certainly need the 3 cap rechargers and would have to cycle the 2nd rep
Supstitute best named where possible - and get T2 med rep asap + large 'accomodation' rep

Thats a good setup, but i think itd be better to prefer hardeners over cap recharging equipment. Instead, maybe fit 4 hards and 2 cprs, but hey maybe im wrong.
I do realize that sansha only do 2 dmg types correct? So then again maybe you should keep that setup, but ofc i have to face angels so.....4 hard types ftl...

Don't rat Gueristas with Amarr. Their high EM resists make it take forever at best and not work at worst.

The biggest problem ratting Guristas in a Armageddon is range. Using pulses is almost futile due to long ranged crystals em damage, which Guristas have high resists against. While multifreqs do the most thermal damage of tech 1 crystals(28em/20 thermal) the 50% penalty to optimal results in Gurista BSs orbiting outside your effective range. No one wants to chase a 500k rat around a belt for ten minutes, so pulses are out.
Beams do less damage then pulses, but they have a great optimal range which makes up for it. A little bit about fitting the types of large beam lasers: Tachyons, Mega Beams and Dual Heavy Beams. Tachyons will not fit on a Armageddon without using low slots for fitting mods, low slots your armor tank needs to be effective. A full set of Mega beams will fit with good skills but leave very little power grid left for armor reps and plates. Dual heavy pulses fit well and use less cap when firing while having an optimal & damage output a less than mega beams. For a heavy tank go with the Dual heavy beams.
It's been a long time but my ratting setup was something like:
Highs: 7x Dual Modulated Heavy Energy Beams (The best you can get before Tech2 about 600k each) 1 heavy nos
Mids 3 Cap rechargers
Lows: 2x Large armor reps 3x Hardeners (2 Kinetic 1 Therm) 2x Cap power relays 1x Heat sink t2 or hardener
drones: 5 Vespas 5 Hornets
With great cap skills you might be able to take out a power relay and put another heat sink in.
