I want to sell off my char but I was wondering how to go about that and not have to worry about that credit card I used to pay the sub. Do I just cancel and the person that gets it just uses theirs?
Or do you just sell the char itself somehow and then cancel the account later.
Can someone just explain to me how that works.

you will need to pay the transfer to a other account.. (While Active) fee.
Otherwise you can claim it back later as the officiul owner.

Tapal misinterpreted your post.
You can only sell your character, not your account.
Click on the left of this page, at "My Account" section
Then enter user/pass etc
Then click on "Account Services"
Then click on "Transfer Character"
Choose where you want the character transferred too, as well as your payment details for the $20 USD transaction fee.
That's basically it. Hope this answers your questions.
Remember, it will only transfer the character, not the account. After transferring the character, if you want the rest of the account closed (other 2 characters etc) then you need to actuallly click the "cancel subscription" option
You will then recieve something similar to the following message:

It should also be pointed out that you cannot sell your character for RL currency. You can do it for ISK or can set up a trade.
There is an appropriate forum for proposing the trade or isk sale of your characters.

Ah thanks, that's exactly what I wanted to know. I was wondering how it was done. Anyway, I liked the game just most of my friends left for other games and it got hard to keep going since I was in low sec with no backup even if I took someone out. Missions gets boring after a while.

One more question. If you trade off a character do the items he owns and ships go with it. I assumed so, but I wanted to make sure.

And to transfer your character you need to be in a noob corp .. i.e. you have to leave your current one before you can do a transfer
