Hey. Long time eve player thinking of maybe coming back.
One thing i know is EvE can be a 2nd full time job. I mainly quit due to time constraints and it eating up all my time over the years. It was a really nice decision on my part, but i do miss eve, as much as i hate it at times. Theres nothing else out there that interests me.
Is there anything to do that doesn't require you to spend an hour+ solid PvP wise?
I loved WH. Hated how long it took to do anything, go anywhere etc (Scanning etc)
Liked null sec, hate how long fleets can take.. and if you have to leave you are stranded 20+ or whatever jumps in enemy territory and likelihood of getting back in 1 piece is slim
Thought about FW but the little bit i got of it was so damn blobby.
Hi sec war decs seem rather tedious, docking games and.. waiting..waiting...waiting.
Any thoughts or maybe something im missing? Havent really played much in the past year.
Thanks for any helpful feedback |

It sounds like you looking for purely a PVP experience ?? if so, RVB is a great place to log in pew, log out.. easy as... you would need to find ways to fund it though, so buying plex is a way, otherwise you will need to exert some effort doing things like exploration, mission running, mining, rating. Guess you need to be a little bit more specific.. feel free to catch me in game or evemail if you need help.. or just post here and I will help where I can

find a wormhole corp that lives in low class space like c2/3
You can log in, have plenty of chains to explore and kill people and log off whenever you want since wormhole corps don't usually have the BS call to arms and stuff to defend structures etc.
You also learn a lot more about the game in wormholes, the mechanics and stuff since it's TRUE free for all. It's challenging to learn at first, but it's a hella fun. |

It requires some setup. Buy and fit your ships, and station them in areas where you think you'll be. Cutting down reshipping time greatly improves your ability to go out and find content.

Being about to do "fun things" in EVE generally requires a fair amount of "setup time" where you...
- make a budget: what kind of ships do you want to fly? What can you realistically fly? What are the prices of those things? How much do you think you will go through in the space of a week?
- earn the ISK you need; unless he/she is selling PLEX, even the most hardened PvPer has to earn money somehow. So you are going to have to carebear a little bit. The trick is doing it quickly and efficiently. (NOTE: friends can help here... while they may cut down your share of whatever activity you both are performing, they often increase the speed, efficiency, and safety in performing that activity... meaning you gain more in the long run)
- find/buy the stuff you need: trade hubs are the supermarkets of EVE. Jita, Amarr, Dodixie, Rens... you can buy almost anything in those systems. But, if you are tactful, you may be able to find an industrialist in your general area who may be willing to supply you. (NOTE: it will be hard finding such people. They try to operate discreetly because that is their first, and often only, line of defense)
- get stuff in bulk quantities: this is the reason you make a budget and amass a "warchest" in the first place. So you can buy all the stuff you need in one go and not have to look back.
- move to your preferred staging area: same principle as buying in bulk quantities. You want to cut down the "downtime" between engagements.
- pre-fit all your ship ahead of time: same principle as above. Once you die (and you WILL die) you want to dock back up and spend more time deciding what ship you will undock in rather than fitting it up. Nothing annoys small gang commanders more than having to hold up the whole gang because one person (that the gang can't afford to leave behind) needs to fit up his/her ship.
How did you start?

Something hilariously fun that can be done in 5 minute play sessions is ganking miners.
Warp to a planet that has belts, D-scan to see if it has Retrievers, Covetors, Hulks or Mackinaws in the nearby belts, then warp to each belt attached to that planet. If you see one of those four hulls, engage, then get your pod out.
Don't hit their pods unless you are OK with the consequences of being illegal in highsec (which take time to learn how to deal with)
Shoot everyone. Let the Saviour sort it out.
I enforce the New Haliama Code of Conduct via wardec ops. Ignorance of the law is no excuse - read about requirements for highsec miners at www.minerbumping.com

If you have ISK to burn RvB would be my first choice. Basically 24/7 access to targets and you can do solo or fleet stuff depending on what you feel like. Fleets are up most of the day and they don't care if you come and go when you need to.
There are plenty of other options, but you may have to accept that you won't get a fight every day if you pick one of the "slower" types of gameplay.

Go look at the EvE Gate. Go get lost in Drone space and use local for hints on how to get out. Wormhole diving, see how far you can go before you find Empire space again. Shoot CONCORD.
I mean, I could keep going. Just do... something. |

Buy a faction cruiser of your choice (Stabber Fleet, Phantasm, Omen navy, Cynbal and Gila are particularly good)
Go to Thera
Go to a random null area
Run around for ~15 minutes
