Hello, I've been doing lvl 3 missions in a Raven the past year and a half. (Don't like lvl 4's yet)
However, i've decided to try another ship for lvl 3's and chose the Megathron. I was wonder what the best set up is for lvl 3's. I don't want to spend too much in case I don't like it...
What is the best selection you can think of so i don't loose it and am still at least as efficient in it as my Raven.
Thanks

Use tech2 where possible, named where not (minus shield power relay since tech2 doesn't exist and named only gives less fitting, which is not needed, and power diag since tech2 is not needed, and neither is the reduced fitting of named).
5x heavy launcher (ammo type according to rats) 2x 250mm (antimatter)
3x large shield extender 2x invul
2x ballistic control 1x shield power relay 1x power diag
5x light drones (type according to rats, thermal against bloods and sanshas though, possibly guristas as well)
Oops, that was a ferox setup

level 3 should be doable in the worst setup tbh.
I guess for the npc that orbit u real close i would choose electron blasters, with a good tank and a webber. For the npc that orbit u at 30+km i would pick the 425, named.
The mega should have no issue tankin the damage, so just fit the hardeners a large rep and there u go.
Oh and tbh i would prefer a domi cause - but thats just me.

Since lvl 3 is a mix of smaller ships the 425mm and 350mm bite against the majority of ships.
I played with the Mega for a while and came up with a couple of setups that worked "OK"
High: 2x Heavy or Assault Launchers (I liked the Assault better helps with frigs better) 6x Dual 250mm Rail II(antimatter/Thorium/Iridium in cargo)
Med: 1-2x Sensor-booster II 1-2x Tracking computer II 0-2x Cap Recharger II
Low: 1x L-Rep II 2-4x Armor Hardners II (Rat specific) 0-1x Adaptive Nano Plating II or 1600mm plate 0-1x Damage Control 2x Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Drones: Lights and Medium (Rat Specific)
Since Mega has Quote: 5% bonus to Large Hybrid Turret damage and 7.5% bonus to Large Hybrid Turret tracking speed per level.
with the dual 250mm and the Magstab and Tracking you hit good (or better that 350 or 425mm)

ey im still pretty new to level 3s, but i have a setup that does ok against. there obviously are way better setups but this works fine for me in the mega:
High: 425mm Rail I 3x 250mm Compressed Coil Gun I Neutron Blaster Cannon I Heavy Neutron Blaster I Small Tractor Beam I (quicker to get drops) Heavy Nosferatu I
Medium: 4x Fixed Parallel Link-Capacitor I
Low: 2x Large 'accomodation' Vestment Reconstructor I 1600mm Plate Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane I 3x Capacitor Power Relay I
As you can see there are mainly low skill required to fit all these modules. With this setup I don't run out of Capacitor even with the 2 Large Repairers Running. It gets down to about 2/5 cap and hangs around there.
