As announced that ships'HP will be increased by 25-50%. This could either make missions much easier or much harder depending on if the NPC gain this increase or not.
So, do NPC ships gain more HP along with us?

At the moment, no one but ccp knows for sure and they are staying quiet on the subject. I wouldnĘt be surprised if they had overlooked this area of the game when discussing the hp changes to player ships, or perhaps hadnĘt considered the fact the running missions will take far longer should npc's have their hp's increased. Only time will tell, however sisi is currently showing an incompatible build and irc motd states that testing will begin tomorrow at 1pm, so I guess we will find out soon enough for ourselves. The change is to make PvP fights take longer.
Given which I _assume_ that only player ships will be changed...which means mission running will become slightly easier.
Given that they are also nerfing WCS though which makes mission running harder this seems fair enough...

Missions will be far more easier, but a bit longer. If you need 2 volleys of 6 to kill a cruiser, you will now need to shoot 3 to 6 more missiles in the process. Tanking though will be a bit easier since increasing your shield with 25% to 50% means that your passive tank will help you out a bit more.
Overall it doesnt really matter, you still need to tank and still need to shoot the rats. . Seriously Have I Not Said How I Can Assist Some One You Are Killing Online? |

I'm a little mroe concerned how/if salvaging will increase the loot recovery time in missions, but again, until Sisi comes up I can't go check.

Your passive tank will stay the same since they increase shield recharge time as well. The only change to your ship will be a bigger HP buffer, which is all but meaningless in high end lvl4 missions, so no big change there. Your tank is not boosted at all. If they increased the NPCs HP by 50%, high end missions would become a lot harder if not impossible due to having to tank 50% longer with no boost to tanking. So I assume the NPCs will stay the same. Makes already easy missions even easier, but that really is no change since the time to complete them depends only on your gank and not your tank anyway. --------- ZOMG my sig was concordokkened! Didnt know that, but still. The only real problems you will get is the insane tankers in missions, the rest will die soon. Might make torps more valuable than cruise missiles atm. . Seriously Have I Not Said How I Can Assist Some One You Are Killing Online? |

kali will bring t2 ammo to the masses ( as long as invention stretches this far) and in the process with skills missions will just tick over quicker

so... the idea of nerfing the boring "bigger == better" is a hoax? i wont be able to kill BS with an assault frig anymore? (i.e. not getting through shield recharge _and_ armour repair rate anymore)

I had a quick spin on there earlier, rats were no different. However, i did get a Blood Raider mission from a Gallente agent which i don't think was quite right :) reported it

Lol, you are not a missionrunner then. The pirate factions are active all over the galaxy, you don't just get gurista missions from caldari agents but most of the other pirate factions as well... only thing is that guristas missions should be the most common ones, thats all.
Anyway, thanks for wasting dev time they should better use to fix bugs :D -- |

No, I don't think it will.
1) The dev's have stated that there will be a low probability for success with invention, so I can't see people wasting RP on ammo when they could use them for ships, cap rechargers, etc. As such I do not expect to see the cost of T2 ammo falling drastically.
2) players will still need to skill up to use T2 ammo.

eh?

Erm, 'scuse me? Having 9.97 faction with Fed Navy and having never been given a Blood Raider mission in the 2 years I've been running missions for this agent, I would kindly ask you to stop questioning that I know what I am doing with missions/NPC types. Go troll somewhere else.
Anyway back on topic, in the one mission I did run, just empty wrecks dropped, nothing inside them, didn't get chance to do any more yesterday and am only up to Survey 4 as of this morning, so won't be able to test the speed of mineral recovery from wrecks till after the weekend. For those who havent seen it, Salvage takes Survey 5 as a pre-req, best to train it up before the patch. Its great being Amarr, ain't it?

I think they should increase the DPS of mission rats slightly. That way mission difficulty is just as hard AND they are completable just as fast.

Ive been doing missions for far longer and have had blood raiders from fed navy, and still do. I think you need to change your agent or your location as these can affect the missions you get offered
To POD or to be PODDED that is the Question ? |
