Ok right, heads up.. So we'd all agree the blasterthron is one of the evilest battleships 1v1...
Now imagine a blaterthron with
+5% L.Hybrid Damage per level
+7.5% Armour repair amount per level..
9,600 BASE armour..
You have the hyperion.

O yea.. 8 turret hardpoints :)
and the legendary 5th midslot used by the Vindicator at the sacrifice of a low...
There will be no reason to buy Vindicators :)

Hmmm... didn't think of that. Yeah, many faction battleships may become obselete with these new Tier 3 battleships...

isnt hyperion suposed to have thorax bonuses ... mwd and damage on L hybirdes?

that cant mount a neutron fitting with any tank - less grid than the mega and less lows - i need to play with it but i don't think in its current incarnation it'll work - especially with the hp changes

The HYPE is easily the biggest piece of **** in eve history. No fittings, damage is less than a mega, tracking less than a mega, blah blah blah. it's crap.
Because I said so...

Don't forget the dev blog which first mentioned the tier 3's with some stats:
Hyperion can't really target that far and has crap tracking .. I'd stick with the vindi for a bit ;)

It's so good, that if you die with it, you get stuck in space
Well, no, the model's bugged ingame.
But I worked out, that with 2 centus reps, 3 Corpum a- EANMs and a dcontrol, itll tank 2100 DPS or so . Leaving it a lowslot to add in a kickass magstab, and highs full of electrons slash ions.
Dont forget the almost 6k cap base.

Fit it without any officer/faction mods like the rest of us people who dont have 6 bill to toss at a tier3 BS fitting.

I still think mega neut set up will still be king of gank set ups. but running solo a duel rep elecron hype may be viable

God... I am so glad I trained Caldari BS lvl5 instead of Gallente BS lvl5 on my Gallente specced char :)
I will be very surprised if the Hyperion is used by any serious pvp:er for any other reason than for either the sake of it or for **** and giggles.
6 lows won't mount a half decent armor tank even if you go with 0 damage mods =/
