Twice now, launched a bomb in a SB and the bomb didn't move... it sat there right under the bomber.
Then it blew up.
It hurt.
Anyone else seeing problems with bombs? These are with the old T1 launchers.

Any time I launch a bomb I'm usually aligned. (I never actually see my bomb explode if I did it right) but if inertia based bombing is real and not a troll I have to ask what does that say for the missle mechanics in this game? |

Wtf are you talking about? Everyone knows bombs are inertia launched and fire backwards. Always remember to align to your fleet at 30km and fire before you warp. |

Bombs are dumb missiles that fly in a straight line, they shouldn't need inertia, just button press. Then again most people are moving when bombing like heroes so most of eve probably hasn't tested the inertia bit. |

Actually this is ship specific. Some stealth bombers need inertia, some don't.
However safest runs and longest range come with combined mwd and ab in any of them.

Also don't forget to set the bomb timer individually to each bomb.
You have to do this in hangar or cargo hold by right clicking the bomb while holding "-+"-key.
Time is given in milliseconds so 100ms = 1 second = bomb will travel about 2-3 km and blow.
I recommend at least 500ms timer to give you more time to warp out. Maximum allowed time is 1000ms (10s).

To the OP:
Next time you launch a bomb and it doesn't move, call Explosive Ordanance Disposal. Its there job to come out and remove any and all explosive material.

Folks they are bombs. They drop out of the bottom of your B-52 and simply fall to the Taliban below. No rockets, no motors, and the EVE bombs are not even laser or GPS guided. Just a piece of dumb metal that goes boom. Bombs have no friends.
BTW: They just found a two ton bomb in the river in Germany from WWII. |
