You should never engage a PVP ship in a ship that is not set up for PVP.
That being said, the first time I did it, I lost my ship but it was the most fun I had in the game up to that point.
The best way to learn is usually to make mistakes, just shoot him!

Comes from someone that loads in a 500 million ship with t1 antimatter charges. In t2 guns One can not mock a kill board if they do not have one of their own.

I am an independent third party commenting on your comment. You are talking trash and you have no kill board to display you have any reason to be talking said trash. Therefore your comments are invalid. As originally stated, calm down miner.

If you read your original comment that he replied to, it is off topic not to mention wrong.

If you really think the help channel is any better than this forum you truly are a noob.
It's not where you post, it's how you post it. OP asked an honest question with out whining. He will get good answers.

Morgoth Galaxius wrote:Thanks for the answers! Especially the notion of not engaging a PVP fit ship with one that's fit for PVE. (I did want to light the suspect up though! ) And you should light him up. Like I said you will probably die in a fire but you will enjoy yourself.
Who doesn't fall flat on their face the first time they try to walk?
Tell you what, next time it happens light him up, fall flat on your face and die in a fire. Keep good notes on what your opponent does and what you did, make a full write up and post it here. Mail me the killmail and I will will reimburse you. FRAPS the fight for an extra bonus.
The next hint I will give you is that it is possible to quickly change from your PVE setup to a PVP setup, the key is to carry a mobile depot, this will allow you to change your fit within the mission space.
