This is very strange, and very worrying...
Logged onto the test server about half an hour ago. No queue since it appeared to have just restarted and there were very few players online. Got as far as launching my ship from the station in FD, and after the "entering space" screen got a black screen for a few seconds (which I sometimes get in busy systems). However, this was followed by "connection lost". But not only did Eve drop out, but so did my whole network (3 PCs on a DSL router.
Obviously I thought it was down to an ISP problem. I rebooted the router and grabbed a drink while it was rebooting. I got back, saw things were connecting correctly again and restarted the test server client.
Bang - 2 for 2. I got into the test server, launched my ship, got the same black screen after "entering space" and the network crashed again. OK, this could be a coincidence - but I was suspicions.
I rebooted the router again, logged into Sisi again and - guess what - launching my ship caused my LAN to crash again.
There are two odd things though... I've managed to get onto the test server several times over the past few days, and this is the first time this has happened. I've checked the test patch page and there doesn't appear to have been a new patch today that I've missed.
The other odd thing is that when my partner tries to receive an incoming file using MSN Messenger, exactly the same thing happens and the network crashes in the same way. Might the Kali client and MSN Messenger be drawing on some resource that (bizarrely) my router or ISP doesn't like? (I've just logged in a fourth and fifth time, this time having closed down MSN on the other computer in case there was a conflict somewhere - and launching the ship is still crashing the router).
Obviously I'm concerned that if I'm having this problem with the Kali client now, I won't be able to play Eve after the Kali patch. Also, since the router I'm using is one by D-Link and thus very common, this bug is probably not just affecting me.
It's all very odd... anyone got any thoughts as to what could possibly be causing this, or any dev care to comment?

Location: Anywhere - bug occurs during log in. Character: Any OS: Windows XP Pro Reproduction: Every time I try to log in.
Further to my previous post here about the Kali test client consistently crashing my DLS router, the situation has actually got worse.
The last times I've tried getting onto the test server, the client has caused the network crash while it was still populating the various channel panes etc that I would normally see when logging in; I didn't even have the chance to try and undock before it crashed.
I deleted all cache files. No difference. I deleted my test server instance of Eve, and created a new one applying the patches to bring it up to version 2.14.26811 again. Same problem - logged in and it brought the network down while populating the station again.
So... I can't get onto the Kali test server. At all. Every time I try it crashes my router. I do sincerely hope that whatever is causing this can be identified since if it isn't fixed I will not be able to play Eve post-Kali. What about other people with D-Link routers? Are they having similar problems?

Looks like I've found the solution. Another computer on the network was running eMule (and I wasn't aware of it). Closing this program down is all that was necessary to fix the problem. I guess they're using the same port and getting in each other's way.

There's a typo on the contracts panel - when a contract requires attention you get a link in yellow appear at the bottom of the panel. It currently reads "a contract requires you attention".
It should of course read "a contract requires your attention".

This is getting increasingly frustrating... I am still unable to connect to the test server since the client is regularly crashing my network.
I installed the 2.14.29691 Kali patch this morning and fired up the client, which ran stable for over an hour. (I wasn't doing anything, just letting the ship fly to see if the client crashed - all seemed well.)
But... I've just tried at again this afternoon. Crashed while still in the station hangar. I disabled every other program I could think of that might possibly effect Eve - anti-virus, firewall, everything. And again it crashed while in the station.
I've run out of ideas to try...
