No matter what you say, most people will never grasp the concept of alpha damage in ganks because theyre stuck with DPS concept. I have blopped into the middle of a fleet fight. I think I know what alpha damage is. The post was not clear if he was just giving his raw calculations or had accounted for resists. It also talks about multiple cycles.
