Its not that their opinion matters, it's that it is, in fact, a valid statement of the validity of the activity. But you do not have to believe me. Go out and try White knighting and see for yourself. I love to hear if you find ways to be successful at it. Haven't need it yet. Scouting or webbing seems to be sufficient. I would imagine being in the same corp helps? I have talked about White Knights and a corp board for them that works on reputation points. Maybe there could be some sort of contract that allows them to fight or repair the one they are escorting without the draw backs?

Mr Epeen wrote:Tears are tears people! Gankers are carebears, they all taste the same to me. Mr Epeen Fixed that one for you. Often hiding behind anonymous alts, undocking in empty pods and cheap ships to attack ships that usually have no chance of surviving the attack or fighting back? Attacking the weakest ships in the game is more carebear than any ratter or miners that undocks despite how useless they are in the face of an attack.

Staten Island wrote:The majority of eve combat is asymmetrical. If your target has a chance of fighting back you are doing it wrong. It doesnt matter whether its ganking carebears in hs or blopping a titan in null, its all one and the same.
From a personal view, I hate it when my targets shoot back. Recently, I was in a Nightmare fleet, we were trapped in a dead end system and they had superior forces camping us on the gate.
We had a superior composition and perfectly executed them.
The really sweet spot for me was in High Sec wars when there was 10-15 vs 10-15. We didn't have any logi pilots, I would jump first in a Cyclone and try active / speed tanking while applying some damage long enough for them to break.
It is those moments when you feel the weight of a battle hanging in the balance across your shoulders, where a single mistake means that your side are wiped out. That! Is the real EVE rush.

So, anyway, what I am taking away from this thread:
1) Use an alt and shoot the wreck to make the gankers cry. 2) Use a lot of ECM
What about:
3) Gank their bumping Macherials? 4) Web the freighters to help them escape?
