If i have missed any previous discussions on this subject i apologise
for starting a new thread on it.
Just a short post to get some feedback on the these 2 mission....
Tecnological secrets 3/3 and Illegal activities all 3 parts.
Ever scince I became aware of the huge faction loss i was experiencing with minmitar republic and the gallente federation from completing these missions I have been declining these mission of course.
Even so i was well over half way to being KOS in gallente space before I clued on to what was happining...
what is worse is sometimes my agent will offer me Illegal activities 2-3 times in a row which i can not decline inside 4 hours without losing standing.......
not to mention the loot drops from these missions is in my experience is much better than any guristas ganza or equivalent pirate mission
Q: IS CCP acctually encouriging me to ruin my standing with the minnies and thoses weirdo french guys?????
Q: IF we dont want to ruin our standing with another faction can we not decline these mission (that give a faction hit)with out penalty?
Q: why not let some of the pirate missions drop equivalent loot to the faction navy missions?
What do you think?

I think that's the idea. hence the name "cold war" for one of the previous updates, and the mention of "faction warfare" in a future release. I'm gonna refuse those missions from now on as well after noticing my standing with gallente had dropped to -0.96 (damn those illegal activity missions)

Same for me too, I loved the missions compared to other level 2's, good payers, then I realised my standing with Gallente is -3 ish.
Gonna have to start rejecting them, problem is that Gallente Officer in part 3 of one of the missions has dropped loads of great loot, took a 30 + mill cargo thing of him once on a level 2 mission, 10 + stuff a few times too.

heheh,
i love doing them missions local hull conversions in them all the time.
i now have a -6.25 with the Gallente =)
the wee buggers hate me. so much so they shoot me when i go into there space

Every cloud has a silver lining of course 
To do missions that cause a drop in faction standings, just requires doing other missions as well. I am alternating who I do missions with, and although it means my standings rise slower, I plan to end up well liked by almost everybody But its harder.

when you hit -5 with any faction you are "kill on sight" by that faction navy

and by "kill on sight" CCP means 2 frigates and a cruiser will harass you.
