Fellow citizens of EVE, tonight marks the birth of a new chapter in the history of the Mercenary Coalition. Taking the lessons learned from over two and a half years in the mercenary profession, it was decided that all of that knowledge should be put to use.
Eternity has been formed with myself as CEO. With a core of Directors drawn from within the MC along with other quality pilots from around the EVE Universe, we shall endeavor to provide the same levels of professionalism, honour and desire to fulfill the needs and wants of our clients. This is paramount to us as a Corporation.
We are proud to stand alongside our brothers and sisters in Body Count Inc., Sharks with Frickin Laser Beams and Contraband Inc. Together with them, Eternity will forge a path through the stars that will ensure we are forever remembered.

Well there was 5 corps in mc tc/nsn/conin/frick/bdci at one point and it was merely coinsidence that ended up back at 4 shortly after. So not really... there are always ways to change the cards to suite our needs

We wanted "Eternity" but the game would not let us. The petition is in to remove the INC. as that is not what we wanted, as you can see from the banner.
At no point did we bother to investigate why any other corp was named that or who they were. We didn't care. We chose the name for our own reasons. Kind of amazed so many people are focusing on this...

Seriously, do your homework before making a new corp. I don't care what reasons you had for forming it, the original Etinc still has some active people in it (although the rest are currently in RKK or Outbreak). Not only that, but it's a corp that commanded a lot of respect during it's time.

Now now there's no need to start throwing wild accusations about just because some people are getting (justifiably) upset over somebody stealing a respected corp's name and making a big song and dance about it on the forums. To paraphase and misquote, "Oh look, we're Eternity Inc with a dot at the end. Wadda you mean you guys were already in a corp like that? OMG MC HATER NOOBS TROLL GO MINE YOUR VELDSPAR WE ARE UBER" isn't the way of making friends and influencing people. Instead of coming across understanding and respecting our objections, you're simply coming across as a jerk.
Regarding wanting to form a corp using the name "Eternity", if a corporation has 0 active people in it then it won't show up when searching for corps but EVE still blocks you from trying to make a corp with that name (which is probably why you were having troubles registering it).
You can be as eternal as you like, just not incorporated

I have a very strange perception of things.
M8, if someone wants to go form another corp named Body Count INC, or B0dy C0unt iNc.., or whatever, feel free. Guess what? It's not the same corp, it will never be the same corp and I honestly could care less. I wonder if the BNC guys would get so worked up if someone created "Black Supernova Corp" as a dig at them or if they'd just shrug it off, have a drink and laugh. Oh wait... I think I know the answer to that one.
So there was another corp with a similar name. So what? Good for you / them. I am sure they accomplished some great things and have reasons to remember the name with pride. This constant line of vitriol and semi-flamage is just sad.
Seriously, of all the stuff I've seen people get bent over, this one really takes the cake. Are people really that desperate for reasons to up their post count?

Gee I just had to slump into a corner and have a good old weep there. Never before has my e-ego taken such a pounding.
Now that we know MC is dead we should just pack it all in, sell our accounts, and wait to scarper off to POTBS with our BoB alts.
Maybe once you come out of the bitter barn and play in the hay - you MIGHT come back with something constructive.
Until then I will just gaze lovingly at my Seleene poster and dream of better time for the "Empire"

The killboards to be honest are a measure of activity not skill or talent (Farjung might be an exception ), and have no real measure of the importance within an alliance when so many other things are critical to its running. To summarise going pew pew is easy, making pew pew happen is hard.

I would have expected better from you MrPrimaX the current sniping comments from certain TC members really does make me think that you, as in TC, leaving the MC was for the best. On a slightly off topic note Primax or any other TC member reading this, was it Gen or Eelak who trained up to make your alliance, or did you hire in a consultant to make it? Will ask in game later if no-one has a clue.
As another note, good to see MC's newest corp strengthening up nicely in the short period of time they have been active.

LOL! ET, I'm sure you know that there is a difference between 'Players' and 'Characters'. Many in MC have two or three PvP alts. If you added all of their scores together, that list would look far different (I might actally be on it then...). Well, Farjung would probably still be on top, but the man doesn't know what sleep is.
