As is oh-so typical of petty beauracracies, we see - time and time again - the powers that be focussing on non-problems to the detriment of pod-pilots and the space-faring community at large. Yes, we have queues to smooth our passage through the wormhole wonders that are jump gates. But are these dealing with the real problems? No! Twice no! Thrice, if I may be so bold, no!
The scourge of the modern pilot, as I'm sure you're all aware, is undocking. One only has to visit the merchant's bazaar (nay, veritable epitome of emporia) that is Jita IV-4 to realise that undocking is a tangible threat to the safety of the hearts, minds and stomachs of space travellers throughout the galaxy. A queue of unwary ships gets churned, bounced and tangled as they try to undock. Hearts in mouths, the crew of a tiny kestrel ping between bestower and apocalypse, scraping past the hull of a mighty charon as they escape. This can't be safe, and puts the very bowels of our mighty intergalatic travelling community under threat.
Surely something must be done?
Yes, I know it's a minor problem, but I've just flown a freighter between several stations in a 52 jump round trip and it's wearing me down.

Hear hear!
What we need are random dropout points, rather than a single undocking lane. Chalk it up to variance in the gravitational catapults or whathaveyou.

PS: I can't imagine the great whinge that would arise if collision damage were turned on and a freighter undocked from IV/4. 83 killmails/second.

Or Ships dont stop when they undock, they all have a slightly different heading and just keep slow boating it.

Kryten: Well either we're under attack sir, or we're having a disco. |

That would solve the problem of bumping into someone in front of you in a freighter who undocked and then went AFK, certainly.
Edit: Can't type
