For the past 48 hours I have been getting STATUS:UNKNOWN when trying to connect to Singularity. I've browsed the Game Dev and Kali Dev forums to try and figure out what's going on, but have had no luck. Would it be possible for sharkbait/another forum admin to make a sticky in this forum, nothing too complicated, just with the following info:
Singularity status: [Open/Closed/Limited/Patching/etc.]
Current patch version: 26098 (e.g.)
Patch links:
This would help testers diagnose if it is a local, firewall, routing, or server problem.

Install a irc client of your choice. Connect to irc.coldfront.net and join #eve-chaos. Read the topic and you got what you demand.
The server status and version in sayed topic is changed around 2 minutes after the change on the server.

The information thread continues... from the client to the (outdated) website to the forums to IRC! Luckily, the information is indeed there. Could we instead get a sticky telling people to get on IRC for realtime server status?

Anyone know of a guide that tells you everything you need to do from IRC client startup to actually joining a specific channel?

download mIRC here
http://www.mirc.com/get.html
run after installing
type /nick *yournickherenospaces*
type /connect irc.coldfront.net
type /join #eve-chaos
wam your finished
this is the easy way to do it =P

But there is still one roadblock.
