Universal Agencies is founded on a couple principles and have followed these principles for the past year, honesty, integrity and honour. The corporations we align ourselves to must adhere to these principles as well. We feel these are the key fundamentals in building a strong TEAM.
Over the past month KoS has demonstrated attributes and behaviours that do not run parallel to our structure. This created a problem, however we stuck with KoS in hopes that we could try and help out a struggling alliance in our own little part. However KoS seemed to move seemingly perpendicular to us, decisions needed to be made.
The dis-heartening blow in Wicked Creek, the evacuation, the war declaration from our friends were the final straws that broke us. Most of us smaller corporations, had dumped vast resources into KoS, in fact we had installed a fully functional Death Star in Q-GQHN and were prepared to loose it to hold the system, emptied our hangers in anticipation for the stations camps which were sure to follow a RA and GOON invasion. However the alliance was not prepared, it seemed they were more prepared to tuck tail and run.
In the end we are not ready to run, add to the fact that we have made a lot of great friends, a lot of good people in ûV-, LV and Alektraphobia û Not to forget some of the corporations that have now left KoS and are doing what we were hoping KoS would do.
So it was an easy decision then? Not at all, as most of you know, people make EVE what it is, and I can not stress this enough, there are some really great people in KoS, great people that have fallen victim to the circumstances at hand, people that continue to fight for what they believe in, they are the sole reason our decision was not an easy one to make.
When we first arrived in Wicked Creek, no one in our corporation knew how to PvP, we could run level 4 missions in empire like no one else! Gate Camps? Oh yeah, we had destroyed many NPC gate camps in missions, fleet combat lag, what is this? You get the idea. Fleet Commanders from ûV- and LV were the first to take us under their wing, and give us advice on PvP set-ups. Being pounded by TnT, Foundation, SNIGG and some others proved we needed to re-think our NPC strategies. Once settled in Wicked Creek we were introduced to our KoS fleet commanders, and leaders. With the basics in hand, these people helped us, lead us, and guided us to a great many fleet battles, gank squads, defence squads, gate camps, and general patrols, it was a blast.
Rhang, Shadoo, Corvino, Abram, Number One, She Storm, Thrasher 23, Lezx Stab, are just some of the names that stay front of mind, because of their dedication, attitude, morals and because they kick ass. Thank you guys!
In closing, thank you KoS for the good times, and good luck in your future adventures.
As for us, this will be another challenge in this great game of EVE, we look forward to it, we are hoping to be able to hook up and fly with some old friends, make some new friends, and lots of "pew - pew".
