Skjersiments	Posted - 2006.10.28 14:49:00 - [1] So there've been a lot of threads concerning... well, a LOT of the different aspects to pirating. Does anyone have any good storys to tell? Any people you fought against (or with?) who were especially good on the battlefield, with integrity ratings going up and through the roof? Nyeehlhe, just checking the waters. I am hoping there will be some good tales here, meaning people have had good FUN playing EVE. Unfortunately I'm not yet able to tell any of MY stories, since so far there are none. ;)
pushdogg	Posted - 2006.10.28 15:53:00 - [2] i was belt ratting one night, and a new face popped up in local, and few minutes later a rifter pops into my belt and starts targeting me, so we have a spirited fight for a few minutes(i lost my ship), and then a spirited conversation about what i did wrong, and it turns out i was recruited to my first player corp that night, and ive found that if you frequent a system enough the locals start to get friendly and let yah through gate camps and even let yah rat their belts with little hassle

Once i found a guy who had stolen from me (before i turned ebil) and killed him - I had nothing to gain etc. Afterwards, i paid him for the loss of his ship, and recruited him ^^ Best thing is....those people are now doing the exact same rofl. Of course, this time theyre not recruiting thieves lol. There are many honourable pirates out there. Im not going to suddenly claim i am one. Id like to think i am and im working towards it ^^. But hey, we're not all perfect. No matter how much you puff the afro, you always get dents in it. (trust me there...i know!) And another example - when i was at war with serk about 6 months ago..We had several serk in system, and i played bait. I undocked, and Oldgiffer was outside in his raven. I thought - ha! ill engage him, get him to aggro, then get the gang to undock. We did so - however, my mates didnt undock until about 3-4 minutes into the fight. Because there was no need. reason being? Serk had actually not called in the gang, as oldgiffer and i were having a 1v1 by the looks of things. They were rather honourable that day, as they didnt gank when the had the chance. Then i kinda made the wrong move and called in my mates. And so did serk, in response....BB raven!

I just sat back and watched the whole thing because of how fast he took down my buddy's Prophecy, but he was polite and all (he wasn't hassling me because my then-corp had good standings) and let my buddy off with a 10M ransom on the Prophecy and a stern warning to not loiter around the belts

dormy Caldari Murder-Death-Kill Blood Raiders Alliance	Posted - 2006.10.29 04:19:00 - [8] Well i'm a pirate but i think i have honor altho i dont ransom stuff that is small i just kill it :P even a brand new ibisis but when i (my corp) ransom people we try and get things to run as smoothly as posible and give our custimers a certan time limit and then we remote rep them while they go to the gate even freigters and if you pay you wont get killed untill after downtime It is some compensation for great evils that they enforce great lessons.

bigred monkey	Posted - 2006.10.29 19:47:00 - [11] got to say as an mission runner moving into 0.0, i was at least expecting people to show some honour and poss leave behind the pod as without a bountie on my head there is no reason to kill it. i was soon put rght on that front, there i was happily ratting b/ships when some guy claiming to be noble(name withheld) popped up and destroyed my ship and podded me. now i have no argument with him taking my ship, if hes better he wins and gets it, but come on, whats the need for podding when no bounties apart from to be a complete and utter .......fill sapce with nasty words........, show some honour!!

Cos they can - they can kill you in 0.0, and even a velator can take out a pod. Simple as that. I pod people in empire too - its not 'dishonourable'. Its pirating,
FooB2 Caldari Pre-nerfed Tactics	Posted - 2006.10.29 22:07:00 - [13] tonight, i jsut killed some dudes in a raven and geddon vs me in an eos with a deimos. sentries on thier side. i get asked why im a dishonourable pirate, for shooting a fellow pirate in eve. this person is not in my corp, i have never met before and probably will never meet again, despite the "im bringing my carrier to kill you" threats. he is -0.7 to concord. these people also logged off mid-combat when they realised they were going to die. i found it quite funny anyway.

Pirate vs Pirate fights are the best kind! Popping noobs and miners is pretty boring, getting into a bit of decent small gang PvP is great. ----------------------- <Sig goes here>
FooB2 Caldari Pre-nerfed Tactics	Posted - 2006.10.29 23:24:00 - [16] this is why i thought it was quite funny. although i do enjoy being threatened with carrier abuse. to me, it shows how much they think they need to actually kill you. so, by deductive reasoning, i can kill one carrier, but not two alone in an eos. this would make me awesome, and i like this.

We decided to go to hull. Now this can be a bit of a bad idea sometimes as you end up getting ransomed or killed or both However I thought wtf and we met up and engaged. All I can say is that Harpy hurt a lot lol. Anyway long and short of it is that Arcane kept to the terms and is as honourable as I have found. Just thought Id mention it.
