Just a little reminder to the developers that while Kali is in testing I am hoping that detailed written instructions/guidance on all the changes is forthcoming. By this I don't mean patch notes, I mean detailed guidance as to how the Invention/Reverse Engineering system will function, how scan probing will be boosted, how rigs function and all the hundreds of changes you are making.
I am particularly concerned about gangs, scanning, exploration and any new ships to facilitate salvaging or exploration.
This detailed guidance is needed as:
- I am still waiting to get onto the server and play with the new toys.
- I am confident there will be changes as revealed by the testing (Maelstrom bonuses will probably change based on what I have read to +10% shield hit point and +5 to +7.5% per level damage).
- Those who were fortunate to get access will have an extraordinary advantage over the rest in terms of exploiting the new features.
Thank you.

Is this your first major patch? CCP just release the stuff and make patch notes, they leave it to the player base to figure everything out, it's part of the fun.

Pardon?
They get to test the new scanning systems, figure out how to use contracts and understand invention a little better but how exactly mean they exploit?
I've been on SiSi and its buggy and the whole point in public testing is that the bugs will get sorted out. If they didn't test and just released the patch lots of people would complain.

When he said exploit, I think he was talking literally. Ie. "to utilize, esp. for profit; turn to practical account" And not so much with the cheating. --------

Yeah i agree - it is very helpful to get on the test server. get to see whats getting what, etc. Good for knowing what to invest in.
I got on already :P
