i have a saxo vtr and have a dash light on looks like a a bit like a K with a sideways T on it, its yellow under the rev counter and the symbol looks like a symbol for an engine anyone help here?

If the symbol looks like this and lights up amber, then it's your Engine Emissions warning light.
This could mean one of the oxygen sensors is blown, either on your exhaust manifold just above the downpipe flange or the one in the centresection next to the Cat Converter.
Either that or you've got a problem with the oxygen sensor on your intake manifold and the car thinks it's pulling in too much air and is overfuelling and running rich, this will give you crappy emissions and put this light on.
If you've recently fitted an after market air filter, intake, exhaust, exhaust manifold or high flow cat converter then you'll probably find that's what's causing it.
Best thing to do is put it back the way it was, or have your ECU remapped to change the fuelling and regulate the emissions, or you'll fail your next MOT.

yea it was like the red symbol on the link. thanks m8 ill get it checked out there has been probs with the air system. or perhaps its the lambda sensor.
at least i know im not gonna total the engine driving it to work,
thanks againm for all the answers but if anyone has any other ideas plz post them
