Are these going to be removed before it goes live - though I would like to see the agility | speed ones maybe left in , or just don't allow the Cargo ones.

Freighter's dont get to fit mods, why should they get rigs? All that'll happen would be EVERY freightr would have the exact same rigs. So whats the point.
Freighter's are what they are, if you wanna haul a **** ton of stuff, you do it like a snail.

dont see a reason not to allow them to have rigs, wouldnt really effect balance at all as well they are unarmed what balance could there be to screw up.

Actually.... My Freighter is faster than my Iteron Mk5 with expanded cargo holds.
115 m/s vs 90 m/s.

Seeing as rigs are basically modules that can't be removed, I'd say don't let them get fitted. No mods should = no rigs. -----------------------------------------------

I reckon that the mid slot rig should be allowed and give the freighter 15cpu and 10pg to fit a 1mn afterburner 1 - so that you can approach gates with an extra 0.0001 m/s ----------------------------------------------

I have not seen the list of rigs (eve-files is blocked from work)... BUT... iff there is a rig that increases cargo capacity by even 2% then freighters should not have rigs...
right now Chribba is, as far as I know, the only person with a dread in high sec.
The Charon with freighter rank 5 can hold 981,250 m3 of space. If you increase that by another 2%, you break the 1 million m3 cargo space. You can haul carriers and dreads into high sec for some very interesting empire wars... you can also carry station containers around (I bet those would sell for a billion each in 0.0 space)

According to this thread freighters won't be getting rigs. I just don't see the harm in giving freighters rigs. Besides the extra cargo to be able to transport packed dreads, I don't see what harm could be done. Even saying that transporting a dread is "a problem" is going far imho. If the problem is transporting dreads in high-sec then why allow the building of dreads in high-sec in the first place (as Chribba said in the above post)? The problem (according to what I can gather) isn't the freighters but the dreads in high-sec (or transporting thereof), so why nerf every aspect of freighters just to prevent that?
If this is really the problem then I don't know what is so hard about just making the packed size of a dread equal: the cargo space of the biggest freighter, taking all skills into account and putting just cargo rigs in, plus 1m¦ or more. And there you go, problem is solved and freighter pilots are happy! After that each freighter pilot can balance his freighter the way he feels like it, it's not like suddenly freighters are gonna become super agile (or even remotely agile for that matter), or suddenly the market will crash because they can carry an extra 150000 m¦.
Right, time to end this little rant lol. So maybe I'm missing something and this is not the reason why devs don't want freighters to have rigs... would one of you know why? -----------------------------------------------

yeah, what he said, make capital ships cargo value higher, problem solved. Or just limit freighters to be incompatible with cargo extending rigs. Hell I'd settle for the speed rigs anyday.
