How can 13 fighters be destroyed in 3-5 seconds by 1 Apoc? Smartbombs? No they dont have the range nor the damage capabilities, guns? No ship have that DPS. Smells like exploit to me.

Apoc with named Large Smartbombs. Best ones have 10km blast radious.

A full rack of 8 named smartbombs will do 4800 damage in 8 seconds.
Then there's the possibility of damage bleed-through.
Yeah, I could believe that.

M: 2 electrochemical, AB (or MWD) cap recharger
L: CPU II, Relay, rest 1600 plates (or if you want MWD, remove a plate or two for fitting mods
I myself have blown up countless fighters and T2 drones with this, as well as instapop and instapod hostile Ceptors :)

I actually put my fighters on a BS during a fight over the weekend.. Pulled them off the target as soon as I saw smartbombs firing, and they were all at 1/2 structure. So yes, smartbombs can happily waste fighters.

Well, Firbolgs have about 8000hp (ish). A single SB BS can do well over 4500hp. Not enough to one-shot them, but it'll have them in two........

Actually, I've seen this exact thing happen except it wasnt an apoc, IT WAS A SCORPION.
I could maybe believe an apoc with smartbombs, but a scorpion... come on. Literally the fighters were gone seconds after they gave chase to the scorpion. I seriously questioned the scorpion was even out of warp yet.
CCP never responded to my petition.....
I figured there was some kind of bug, where the target flew 'off grid' or something... just a dumb guess though.

it can happen, destroying fighters is quite easy if you know what you're doing.

POS don't attack drones, or fighters, AFAIK.

A smartbomb scorp is even better than a smartbomb apoc - the Scorp has the cpu for 3 electrochemical and a mwd no problem.
Also - With energy pulse weapons lvl5 - Just watch those fighters die in seconds. Blow up 400mil of fighters for sake of penut insurance.
