So im sitting at work, and relized I had a skill finish early this morning... unfortunatly im sitting in the midst of my 10 hour workshift right now and cant change skills..
SO I remote desktop into my home PC (leet computer skills) through my works firewall etc etc etc.. yes i know im badass.
Anyways.. when i try and load eve, The Splash screen comes up.. and then when it goes away and my Login usually appears... nothing happens... no Eve running in taskmanager...
*sigh*
Any thoughts out there?

Umm well first of all, remote desktop isn't badass, it's a security hole frankly but anyway, I too have had the same problem, Remote desktop, splash screen, nothing. I gave up trying when a friedn sat on my PPC though ;.;

Sadly, Remote Desktop doesn't support hardware acceleration. Bummer, I know. Use VNC instead.

Edited by: Refazed on 30/10/2006 20:17:38 Remote desktop does not support directX. I used TightVNC to connect to my home machine when I was new and had a lot of 1 hour skills. Now I just do partial skill training of 1+ day skills. Eventually it adds up.

I used to use a mixture of http tunneling / ssh / socks proxy server to actually play EVE at work through the firewall. Got any machines at work that can run it? :)
