There doesnt seem to be any warning signs or forums for people who are new to searching for corporations. As someone who was recently wronged by a corporation, and then kicked and pirated by ex corpmates, i feel that there should be a nice quiet forum where people who were wronged by trollish corps can give the intell that players who have no knowledge of warning signs can educate themselves.
i dont want this to become a topic about flaming corps, just a nice spot for people who can tell other people some of the warning signs that you are in a bad corp, or the corp youre looking at joining might be the WRONG choice.
and so, heres my two cents on my most recent corp.

joined on 4/4/15 left on 4/17/15. left because corp leadership expected me to turn on friends i had been flying with for months. was promised a whole lot of content, was promised money and combat.... was promised that if i wasnt the right fit for the corporation that my assets that i brought into the wormhole would be pulled out and contracted to me. they promised that id get to meet people and build connections in the corp of 30 something people. joined and found out that it was actually only 6 people and that the rest of the corp was alts. was promised a mature community, didnt get that either. when i left i assumed that since they already got 5b out of me, that they would be done... but i was wrong. they wardec my corp constantly.
i feel like the recruiter and the corporation he represented were on two very different pages. now my employment history is going to have another page that needs to be explained...

Great thread idea Logan!
So there is this corp named Iron.Guard, and it's dedicated to a few key principles.
A focus on learning and improving (both new and old players)
A friendly, teamwork oriented atmosphere
Having fun in PvP, completing objectives and getting fights.
They live in NPCnull, have been running for over a year with steady growth and have a really high retention rate.
Anyone is free to mail the CEO (Tridgit) in game to ask questions/etc and he'll answer right away.

The highlights of their corp seem to be:
They train people (of all experience) in PvP
They have SRP and an internal loyaltypoints store
They have good attitudes - an enforced Code of Conduct
Evidently opportunities in the corporation are merit based

Who is going to monitor and check on the accusations to confirm that they are true? I'll volunteer first. Your account is not whole nor is it entirely accurate.

Let me clear this up a little bit. I told you to get your ship safe as your group of incursions were about to be ganked. With this you decided to tell them this information and thus we weren't able to do it. It was never the point that you gave out info which caused us to stand down. It was the point that you gave out information at all. When I found this out I gave you 2 hours to move your assets out with promise of safe retreat. We had a door to our wh which was 4 jumps away basing the time traveled on what you had with how far it was to an npc station 2 hours was more than enough time if you had just moved your ass. So yes when you decided you didn't want to mess with moving your own crap out of my wh I decided to take it to jita 4-4 for you.
I done that even made you a contract for the ships to expire in 24 hours. You didn't accept the contract though not my fault. Which doesn't surprise me that you didn't realize you had anything contracted to you in the first place as you didn't even notice that I wardec'd you until it was to late. Once the contract went expired I canceled it and sold it all for corp. Yes we wardec'd you just to harass you for a bit but we haven't done this in quite some time as I don't have the time to mess with 1 person over something so minuscule.
You're mad over a vindi loss who cares it's a game replace it and go on so you can run incursions again. But next time you decide to let your incursion mates know about something that will cause them to loose a ship remember how many of them stuck around to help you when you got jumped. Had they any sort of balls or honor to you they would've repped you and killed the legion would've been that simple. Only thing I hate is that I waited for 8 hours on you and was afk when you got caught.
All said and done faylee done a great job and you should think better on who's information you give out. |
