Purgatorial Janitors Inc. is a medium-sized mercenary corporation that is looking to expand. Please review our mission statement for this upcoming recruitment drive:
Purgatorial Janitors Inc. Recruitment Mission Statement
In order to keep up with the demands of increasing blob sizes and in order to avoid the pitfalls of needing to rely on alliances, we're undertaking a recruitment drive to recruit between 25-75 new members in the next two weeks to augment our core of 25 experienced players. The goal will be to turn players of low to intermediate experience (no skillpoint requirements, though we usually don't take trials) into a well-oiled machine of tactical warfare, from the ground up. We will focus on emphasizing role specializatoin and easy to train for, very effective strategies in order to narrow any skill and experience gap as quickly as possible (a 2 month old blackbird pilot is almost as good as a 10 month old blackbird pilot, assuming he's focused on blackbirds alone). We want each and every member of PJI to be the best PvPer, both solo and, more importantly, in a gang, that s/he can be. The end result, hopefully, will be that a well-trained, well-organized gang of 5 members can easily and consistently defeat larger and older gangs of players. The older, more experienced players will help train these individuals, and we will try to keep a decent ratio of intermediate and high experience players to low experience players at all times.
Our focus is going to be primarily on imparting knowledge to players on how to make the best of themselves, knowing that a gang is only as strong as it's weakest member, and a corporation is only as respected as it's most ignorant noob. We'd much rather have amiable and intelligent players than players with huge skillpoint totals that are anti-social and dumber than rocks. To this end, we have no minimum SP requirements for this recruitment drive.
Purgatorial Janitors Inc. Mission Statement
As referrenced above, we're interested in developing a corporation that does the most for it's members and develops each member to the best of their potential. As a corporation, our focus is on PvP only. As a group of friends, we have many and sundry interest, but our corporation exists to help us learn and grow and PvPers. We intend to stay away from large alliances and shy away from enormous blob warfare; both of these things sap the spirit of good PvPers by allowing them to over-rely upon others. The more members you have in a gang, the less each member counts, and the less potential there is to grow. To this end, we're aiming to foster a small corporate feel that relies upon superior tactics and knowledge, not just skillpoints and numbers, to achieve our goals.
Aside from demanding that you have a microphone, our only requirements are that (1) you be smart and willing to learn, (2) amicable, and (3) that you share our views and ideals. If you don't meet these criteria, then PJI is probably not the place for you.
If you're interested, please contact me or join PURGATORIUM.

As a former member and long-standing corporate friend, I can say that:
1. This is one of the friendliest and most down to Earth corporations I've ever seen, and
2. They're quite good at blowing things up.
Of all the PvP corporations that were in KOS (and thank Heavens you left) during the three months we were fighting against one another every day in Curse, this one was by far the most experienced in dealing with and rooting out small gangs and guerrilla tactics.
Good luck sakana. Did you ever notice that CCP... you know... hates us? |

Around the dawn of 2006, i talked with these guys on one occassion, and distinctly remember a CEO with more brawns than brains (He's stepped down now), on first impressions they seemed to have the determination to continue onwards to become good PVPers, followed 1 hour later by them getting their bottoms kicked in Yvangier ^^, however that was more towards the new pilots they'd hired up than anything else.
I know David and i trust his judgement when he says that they've come a long way since those days, and would gladly backup the statement of this being a good home to any new/old player looking for a good place to kickstart/continue their PVP life.
Best of luck -Gnobe

I've been acquainted with PJI a while now, and they're an excellent bunch (and it was my fault they got involved in KOS. Shame on me!) Anyone looking to join a corporation could do a lot worse than joining the Janitors!

I remember fighting against them in lowsec Essence a looooong time ago Then they joined KOS (which kinda disgusted me) and came to Curse so we got to see some of them again. Good to see you got away from their clutches. -----

Well, we've outpaced our CEO again, and we've hit maximum members. We're making room for the people in our queue right now by booting industrial alts temporarily. So, I'd like to make two announcements:
1. Recruitment is soon to be TEMPORARILY closed. It will be about a week before we accept any new members, at which point we will open up again.
2. We're more than willing to keep taking applications. Please post here or EVEmail me in-game with your interest and I'll get back to you. Please include the answer to the following questions (and please be verbose, it gives us an opportunity to get to know you):
A. What attracts you about mercenary work, and PvP more generally? B. What is your preferred PvP style (fast ships? large gangs? support? etc.)? C. What is your favorite combat ship at the moment (or what are you pursuing)? D. What is more important to you, good PvP or a friendly corporation environment? E. What PvP experience do you already have? F. How many skillpoints do you have, and where are they focused? G. What's your timezone?
Our public channel, of course, is still open. Join the Purgatorium and shoot the **** with our members and prospies. ------------------------------------ PJI Logician: Now... sans portrait |

Hi. Your post in my thread caught my eye, and after some research I love the way your corp looks. That post can be found here: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=423927
A. I enjoy the rush and excitement, the satisfaction, the teamwork, the money, and in general getting to blow sh*t up. B. I enjoy flying fast, smallish ships (though atm I am flying a rifter with the hopes of getting into a jag fairly soon, with the eventual goal of flying a vaga), and small, well balanced gangs. I also like flying solo, but a player with my SP and ship is hard-pressed to find easy kills in lowsec these days. I got a taste of blob warfare in 0.0 (while fighting KoS I believe :P) and I hated it. C. As stated earlier, I hope to fly a jaguar and eventually a vagabond. If it is absolutely essential, I CAN switch to interceptors and tackling skills (but I would rather stay my current course). D. A friendly corporation environment is very important to me, though I hope to get PvP action E. Several months of piracy and small fleet warfare in a fairly well-known corporation I would rather not name. This is a new character started after an absence of a few months. I plan to play him for the rest of my EVE experience- I am not a corp hopper or a spy. F. 3.8 million SP at the moment- but 1.2mil is dedicated to learning skills (advanced lvl 4). I have all the basics (mechanics, engineering, electronics, navigation, ect) to 5 but mostly I have dedicated my training to navigation and gunnery. Technically I could fly a jaguar with t2 guns today, but I would rather wait until I had some other skills better, including passive shield tank and various capacitor skills. G. I am in Hawaii (-10 GMT) but because I usually play earlier than most players, I can keep up with the west coast and east coast players. In my previous corp there was no problem with my time zone, from the Euros to the Aussies.
Btw, got my first pod kill in months today (just started solo pirating in lonetrek)... Tried to ransom him but he wouldnt respond :(. Anyway, please let me know if there is a security status limit to your corp- I'll have to hold on the podkills. ______________

I've been affiliated with these guys off and on for quite a while, and they're definitely well above par as PvP corporations go. They are, without a doubt, some of the most friendly players I've run across in my career in EVE.
