I keep clicking on what people are making what looks like killmails or multiple items, or bpos for sale in local,
but it is a masked link to restart the entire tutorial, its extremely annoying to have to click through 30 pages of this stuff to get it to go away.
Please declare this a exploit. |

And what game mechanic are they exploiting? You don't even know what the word means.
Bumping is fine, Ganking is fine.
The real issue are Carebears. Bad people wishing ill and death upon on all of us.
The obvious solution is to wipe them out and make sure they don't come back.
Let's kill them all for the good of EVEmanity.

yeah sounds like something that shouldn't be going on since it's go no real purpose except to annoy people
suggest you mail the gamemasters, who take feedback now, and make them aware of what's going on
posting in general discussion won't get you anywhere. i doubt it's ever going to be labelled an exploit, but maybe something can be done to stop the practice or make it less annoying |

There is nothing wrong with annoying people. If you go that route, people will want everything to be removed.
The problem is within the person who clicks links and shouldn't.
Do you click everything that's being posted?
I stopped doing that long ago.

The problem is within the person who clicks links and shouldn't. apparently links should unironically never be clicked. annoying people with no reason is obviously antisocial, and 'if you go that route' is slippery slope horseshit

If you briefly point to a link before clicking it, won't the tooltip tell you exactly what manner of link it really is? Take a moment to look before you click.

You don't see floods of tears about this. If that doesn't tell you something then that's your problem.
I'll repeat the important part for you: Protecting wveryone from things that affect only the stupid is WORSE!
No one is harmed by this. Annoyance is not a crime!

The only thing broken is the person who clicks a link before checking where it leads!

No offence but basic "internet awareness" should stop you from clicking anything without knowing what it is. I know this is like telling my male clients to not sent personal data to Elena, Jessica and so on because they asked them to do so during a relaxed skype chatter but hey, be a better/smarter person and don-Št click it.
I do it too in EvE and sometimes get a good laugh out of it but when that stuff annoys you simply don-Št click it. :)

Quote:Forum rules3. Ranting is prohibited.A rant is a post that is often filled with angry and counterproductive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and is helpful in development of the game and community. Rants are disruptive, and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise and clear manner while avoiding going off on rambling tangents. 16. Posting about bugs and exploits is prohibited.Bugs and exploits should be reported through the proper channels. Bugs should be brought to the attention of CCP by filing a bug report for our Quality Assurance department. More information on filing bug reports can be found here. Discussions about unverified issues in game can cause unnecessary panic in the community. When there is an issue that the EVE Online community needs to be aware of, it will be communicated via an official statement from CCP after thorough investigation. 23. Post constructively.Negative feedback can be very useful to further improve EVE Online provided that it is presented in a civil and factual manner. All users are encouraged to honestly express their feelings regarding EVE Online and how it can be improved. Posts that are non-constructive, insulting or in breach of the rules will be deleted regardless of how valid the ideas behind them may be. Users are also reminded that posting with a lack of content also constitutes non-constructive posting. If there is an issue with this, it is better to file a petition or directly mail a GM on the matter. Posting about it on the forum does not accomplish anything. Thank you.
