The FFA areas of the test server are not free for all... They are currently ruled by gangs of people ganking anything that enters. I fit up a zealot that I want to test out, warp to the cruiser only section, and what waits for me? Two HACs in a gang together. They scramble me and pop me in under a minute. Okay, that's not a fair test for my new ship... If I wanted to try that I could just go anywhere in TQ... So I have a couple of 1v1s, check out the ship capabilites, then want a larger battle again. I warp to FFA#1 and what do I find? An ASCN gang (5 pilots), a BOB gang (4 pilots), and an IRON gang (3 pilots). The ASCN and BOB gangs are fighting each other, so I get all three pilots from the IRON gang lock me down and start attacking me.
This isn't a FFA, this is gang warfare! FFA surely means every-one for themselves! Can we fix this by enforcing a 'No Gangs' rule in the FFA areas, or by adding a new, defined 'Everyone For Themselves' area? Warping in and getting attacked by a gang is not a good way to test your ship, you can't test DPS or anything effectively that way.

Use the battlefields then.
FFA is just chaos... and we love it.

Anything goes in a FFA area. Use a battlefield and set up your battle with a friend if you want a controlled fight with no surprises.

FFA is so much fun.....True that there are times people from live server will get friends or corp mates and kill everything that enter.
Though I have done this a few times myself.
Though who cares if you die.....When I could first fly the command ship I fitted it with the best tank I could and FFA I went.....I got attack by 15 people......Boy that ****ation with up and pop but I took some hits and lasted a bit.
Everytime I enter FFA by myself I also like to test out what would happen if I had this setup and ran into an enemy gang entering our space. Plus Now I finnaly got T2 sniper BS so want to see how well I do sniping
FFA is fun...yes you die alot!! but you can also kill many and take a few with you. Then hop to station and back you go for more killing. Though from my experience a gang is never always the king of the hill as more different gangs enter. Plus its alway fun to attack both fightning gangs.

I guess it was quite fun interrupting the fair BOB vs ASCN gang fight and destroying 2 BOB BS in my zealot before the last one turned on me and I had to warp off (but watched him get popped by ASCN :p)...

FD-MLJ in Syndicate ( 15-ish jumps from Jita )
4 FFA areas :
- FFA 1 : Every ship except Capital
- FFA 2 : Every ship including Capital ( Fun but expect to be webbed/scrambled/painted/omgwtf-ripped into pieces by naughty dreads )
- FFA 3 : Frigates only ( T1/T2 + Destroyers )
- FFA 4 : Cruisers only ( T1/T2 + Battlecruisers )
3 Battlefields, where the 1 vs 1 former rule applies ( aka you have to ask for somebody if he wants to 1vs1 you ).

Felysta, FFA = Free For All. I haven't tested much on SiSi, but depending on what you want to test you can goto some other portions of the system and try out stuff. You can probably ask in locals if somebody wants to help you out.

Battlecruisers use the cruiser FFA, I'm not sure where destroyers go.

As it is the only sistem (save for some unit moved by nice people) where you can find the salvager 1, begin targeted at the gate is a bit eccessive.
