Get rid of it!!!
How about warp disruptors make enemy ships undockable? or any other ideas? I hate those docking games in PvP. Makes the game feel silly...

Don't play them? If you're in a massive gank squad who in their right mind is going to come out just to die? If you're in a gank squad, the you need to take the time to set a trap for the gank. --- Recently returned from vacation on a sunny planet in 0.0. Guess which one! |

If you hate it that much, go join an alliance in conquerable space, then nobody can dock in your stations.
You may find life a little lonely, when people know they can't dock so won't even come to visit you, however. Hmmm, but this couldn't possibly happen in NPC space.

You'll just have to wait until the devs introduce walking around station envirnoments - then you'll be able to dock yourself, hunt the pilot down and beat them to death with your pet long-limb

The solution would be to take pvp away from the stations.
Thats unlikely to be embraced by the players though.. when they know there's some poor sap in a station on his lonesome... there's too greater incentive for them to sit outside and wait for a protential easy kill ganking... should the guy be a complete idiot... or gets an unlucky break.
There is also the benfit of a safe heaven inside the station.. or an easy warp away, should a greater force come to kick the backside of said station campers ofc....
It's also worth remembering... if that person is actualy engaged in pvp... he will be under an agression timer preventing him from docking.
The door swings both ways, worth remembering. ______

have better skills and kill them before they dock, if they make it to the station then good luck to them, even if you do feel cheated of a kill. Why does it make it silly? if they havent agressed then they can dock, sounds like your a ganker and have no idea of real pvp.

If they let us get a visual on the outside of a station prior to undocking I'd support this.
As it is, if you just logged in, undock and find the station you're in camped the only real option you have is to redock.

Priceless :D
If someone dont want to pvp he can scan each gate before warping to it, warp to 0 each gate, arrive at his station, warp to 0 and dock.
If someone wants to fight, he... fight. No wcs, agression counter and so on.
CCP found another way to make like ultima online did without the "trammel/fellucca" idiot idea. Pvp is gonna be consensual, for the people who dont want to pvp, they will have eve in easy mode. Perhaps too much for the old players basis...

I'd go for that, but maybe visual only, no overview or any of that. Signature graphic removed - please email us to find out why (include a link to the graphic in question) - Jacques([email protected])

A storyline compatible concept perhaps would be to make stasis webifiers prevent a ship from docking while that ship is entangled. The idea being that a station uses a large tractor beam of some kind to haul a ship inside when a docking request is accepted. This large tractor beam would naturally cause some stress on a ship's hull, and the ship is pulled/stressed/affected at a specific angle in the direction of the station's docking bay. A stasis webifier also puts stress on a ship's hull by a different means (resistance?), and an entangled ship would be affected at a specific angle, the reverse of the ship's direction.
As a safety protocol, whenever a docking request is made or accepted, the station's docking tractor beam detects if the requesting ship is entangled or not. If the ship is detected as being entangled during either check, the tractor fails to engage and politely explains to the pilot (via the ai.) that it is unsafe to dock A ship will not be allowed into the docking queue as long as it is entangled. The docking tractor's entanglement check is an effort to save ships from damage or being torn apart by shearing force during docking.
A player caught in this situation can spam the dock button between cycles of the webifier or break the target lock of the other ship and could then be immediately admitted into the docking queue as usual. If the player's ship gets webbed again after re-entering the docking queue, it will be denied entry at the point it would normally be towed inside by the second entanglement check. If a player's ship is already within instant docking range of the station the two entanglement checks would happen so fast that breaking the target lock of the attacking ship would allow near insta-docking.
whew... beer now!

Station windows, like in Darkstar One, would be great.
However the simple fact is, people won't undock to die to a gank squad no matter how much you ***** and whine, so they'll stay docked. Then when you're the one being camped, you'll ***** and whine about it, and state how cowardly the enemy is, since in EVE, hypocrisy knows no bounds.
If you could fight in stations, they'd log off to avoid in-station gank squads.
Then you'd have people crying for the ability to pk someone who is offline.
