Im getting to a stage where im finding myself bored out my brains, I mine 5 hours a day making around 60mil then do some exploration making around 200mill every couple of days depending how lucky I am, the point is im do these activities and straight away im finding I just haven't got the energy to do this, I have recently brought a stratios and looking into do some WH Camping at relic sites. Its not all about making isk, its about having fun, its something thats missing for me.
What makes you guys to give you that motivation in doing different things from your own main activities?
This is, IMO, the most difficult aspect of EVE - connecting with other players. Solo activities in EVE, while they bring in some ISK, are simply dreadfully boring. Interaction with other players is the only source of fun in the game. But if you join the game on your own, like you did, and like I did, it's very difficult to find the right people you can connect with. I offer a few possibilities:
1) Jump into low and null with a cheap frigate and try solo PvP. It's not a social activity, but since you're going up against a human it can be a lot more interesting than mining a rock. It can be frustrating too, however, as you're unlikely to start off with a good win/loss ratio. But you might enjoy the challenge.
2) Join an NPSI fleet. There are several around. No corp-joining commitment is needed, just raise your hand to join the fleet, get on comms, and follow along. It's a very easy way to socially interact with other players in a cooperative setting. And the activities of such fleets are very exciting, too.
3) Join a newbie friendly corp. Brave Newbies, Karma Fleet and Pandemic Horde come to mind. I don't know too much about how these operate, though.
4) RvB is billed as a constant PvP fest with arranged fights of, of course, Red vs Blue groups. But I don't know how accessible they are for newbies, nor how social they are.
