Hello
Could anyone recommend a decent setup for a newb in a stabber? :)
For now i'm interested in developing my combat skills (I mean literally, not trained skills... I'm still VERY new to all this). Most of my character's skills are level 3 or 4 and I'd like to spend about a million ISK kitting out my new stabber.
So far I've tried things really randomly in my rifter as I have absolutely no clue!! Haven't engaged in anything particularly dangerous yet.
Any advice would be appreciated. I'm looking at the market options and feel like I might as well close my eyes and stab at random :)
Thank you very much

If you havent got amazing skills and your not fussed about your inertia then try this.
4 x 200mm Autocannon II's, 2 Small Nosferatu
10MN MWD Drive I, 20km Scrambler, Webber
Reactor Control Unit I, Medium Armour Repairer II, 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plate.
OK you dont get to use the stabbers bonus's to your guns but you will have a ship with over 5000k of armour and the Tech 2 200mm Autocannons with EMP S or Hail S actually put out a nice amount of dps as long as you aint fighting anything bigger than a cruiser.
Give it a whirl and see what you think.

If you arent pvping put in 2 large shield extenders.
Winner
However, if you are new to PvP, you might try the Rupture as well, it is a bit more forgiving of mistakes...but it does cost a little more to replace.

Thanks for the input everyone!!
With this info and a post I read on another thread, I think I've decided to go for this :
4 x 200mm autocannon 2 x med nos
1 x 10MN MWD 1 x 20k disruptor 1 x tracking disruptor
2 x nanofiber 1 x warp core stabilizer
Do any of you see any particular flaws in this set up? I'm thinking swoop in, disrupt their fire whilst taking them out, then swoop out!
I am very new to all this though :)
*goes back to looking for nos in the market menu*

Ahhh is the 20km disruptor = Warp Disruptor I ?
I checked its information and it says the optimal range is 20km :)

yes it is. The Force is stronge in you young one.
T2, is an advanced version of T1, it usually need very high skills to use it. example.
to use, heavy missiles Launcher I, you need Heavy missile skill at LVL1. to use heavy missiles Launcher II, wish is the T2 version, you will need heady missile Launcher skill at LVL5, and Heavy missile Specialization at lvl1 at least.
T2 are usually 20-80% better than t1, somewhere along those lines.
