There are a few things to note in invention,
1) Invention Chance...
2) Statistics are not specific for you i.e. just becase you had a bad invention last time dones not mean that you will
get a good one this time even if you believe you should
3) the CCP RNG is bursty, i.e. seems to have runs - this probably is just an anomaly - we do not have the figures to see
what is the real outcome of all the RNG events in eve.
now some extra information
I run 3 characters for invention , I *tend* [this is what is recorded here] to inent the same modules [40% base rate] I
record all invention results, the 3 characters have skills :-
Encyrption 4,5,5
#1 science 4,4,5
#2 science 4,5,5
The character with the 5/5/5 skills does a lot less invention on these recorded jobs so his overall figures change slower
[he does invention on other stuff], and he's had a couple of really bad runs that dropped the overall rate right down
I won't say how many this sample represents apart from it is over 1000
now for some figures :-

4/4/4 50.73% [above average]
5/4/5 53.06% [above average]
5/5/5 46.91% [below average]
results since last patch
4/4/4 40.00% [below average]
5/4/5 55.56% [above average]
5/5/5 81.82% [above average]
total results
4/4/4 50.59% [above average]
5/4/5 53.06% [above average]
5/5/5 46.31% [below average]
results since last patch
4/4/4 42.11% [below average]
5/4/5 55.56% [above average]

I came here expecting a whine about how Incursion 1.4 nerfed the invention chances,
based on a limited sample size of five (5) invention jobs.
I left with something else entirely. |

the new Eve Gate forum has nerfed invention chances
before eve gate i had 100% sucess rate, but today i failed a kestrel -> manticore upgrade

You've done over 1,000 invention jobs since yesterday? And Given the large number of people doing invention I don't find this all that shocking a result. |

My calculated chance of success on frigs is 36%. I have gone only 9 of 30 since the last patch = 30%. I should have been successful on 10.8 of 30. Clearly invention has been nerfed.  |

no - >1000 since I've been recording the jobs for these items,
some 50+ since 1.14
I'm not sure if I should just update the top post or post inline with current results... |

And again, if you are gathering statistics, "over 1000" is not enough. You need to put exact numbers of tests for each percentage obtained, then it will be useful data. Otherwise it is not. |
