The prospect of offering my skills as services for isk has always been an idea in the back of my mind, but I was never really comfortable with it. ItÆd mean someone else would expect certain things of me, expect me to implement their ideas instead of mine, in effect, limiting my creativity. But well, IÆm young and I need the isk so letÆs get this orgy going. What IÆm auctioning is nothing less than a new full blown Flash Movie like the one you can see here. Its content, of course, completely dictated by whomever wins this auction. As a guideline IÆll be using my last movie about RMR in terms of duration (roughly 3 minutes), graphical quality and audio quality. The auction will last until Saturday, 12 November, 24.00 Eve Time with a 15 minute sniper in place. New bids should be at least 5% higher than the current winning bid. The bidding will start at a whopping 1 isk. Notes - Once again the winner will fully dictate its content. This can be as global as æmake a movie about my allianceÆ to as specific as a normal movie storyboard gets. Personal views wonÆt matter, so if you want me to build blatant BoB propaganda I will. - This auction will more or less determine if I get to stay in this game or not so bid high and bid often. - I can not guarantee a deadline to the winner of this auction. No, this is not the small print which will enable me to run off with your money. ItÆs just that I work better this way. ItÆs done when itÆs bloody done. - Payment will be made before I start working on the movie. - A full refund will be made if something goes horribly wrong such as an unexceptional bad movie or itÆs simply taking too ** long - I donÆt have a reserve but I preserve the right to blow the whole auction off. Most of you will recognize this name as æthat guy who made those flash moviesÆ and if you donÆt I suggest you take a look here. For the rest of my work please check out my in-game bio as most of it is not allowed to be posted on the forum. Over the last couple of years IÆve had the pleasure of flying amongst you in this wonderful game CCP has created. Yes, IÆve had many good times in Eve, mining crok, shooting people, getting annoyed by things and ultimately making (slightly sarcastic) flash movies about those things. Unfortunately over the last couple of months IÆve grown increasingly tired of Eve. My interests have pretty much been reduced to just full time PvP and anything else, even making isk to PvP, I simply no longer do. Accompanied with this is also a decrease in time I actively play Eve. Both these factors have lead to the point that I (being a poor student) am no longer willing to lay down money for this game. GTCs are an option but recent setbacks and the fact I no longer make isk in Eve means this wonÆt last long and will only delay the inevitable. So.. As it stands now my subscription ends at 23 November and I have no intention of renewing this. However! Although my passion for Eve has diminished greatly, my passion to create Flash movies is still as strong as ever. In a last ditch effort to safe my character from bio-processing I am auctioning my final flash movie. What this precisely entails I will explain later. First, more history! Flash I still remember the day after I published my first flash movie, Xetic vs [5] in 60 seconds. It was pandemonium. Upon logging in I found my inbox spammed to the brim with fan mail and my wallet had spontaneously tripled in size. What I created as a little gag had instantly upgraded my status as Eve Player from æpeasantÆ to æcelebrityÆ. People from all over Eve were sending me fan mail, isk, mods and even bloody ships. Motivated by this I continued to make several more movies. Some good, some mediocre, but always with excellent response. Soon I couldnÆt go anywhere in Eve without someone yelling æRABBLE RABBLE RABBLE ;-)Æ in local. My last movie, about RMR, was my biggest hit and although itÆs halve a year old already I still get mail on a daily basis about it. In fact, the thread about that movie is still active and can be found here, going strong with fourteen pages of replies, fifty thousand hits and developer response it, by itself, is a monument to my work. Adding to this I was recently surprised to find my work in the latest issue EON, Eve OnlineÆs official magazine. Those who donÆt have it, you can rest assured itÆs all good: Quote: His stuff is incredible, funny as hell. HeÆs easily one of the most unique creators of EVE-based movies today. Reading the article brought a tear to my eye and filled me with a warm and fuzzy feeling. Similar to what I experienced the day after my first movie came out.. or that time I took this huge dump in my high schoolÆs urinal. It was awesome. This of course can't mean the winner can be an entire alliance giving me some pocket change (billions) to make a movie about them. My backup plan would be some sort of Flash Corporation with shares and an IPO plan or something where people can buy shares and vote on the general direction of my next movie. Of course, having absolutely no CEO experience whatsoever I don't even know if and how this can be done. But that's all not relevant. Bid bid bid I AM LEAVING AND SELLING MY LAST FLASH MOVIE! First of all IÆll have an extensive conversation with you on what you want and will explain on how IÆll go about realizing this. Remember all my previous work is based on my own ideas and experiences with Eve, which is also responsible for giving it that æcrazy thekillerÆs touchÆ thing. Implementing someone elseÆs ideas is new to me and will probably proof challenging. Let me repeat that you can be as specific as you want in terms of determining the movieÆs content. However the more specific you are the more youÆll impair my own crazy ideas (client vs creator conflict). ThatÆs why IÆll be in constant contact with you during the development of the flash animation. IÆll often send you scenes and parts of the movie as I go along in creating it to check if it meets your expectations. Note that this might slightly ruin the fun for you since youÆll be interacting with an unfinished animation. By the way in terms of determining the content youÆre not only limited to the storyboard. If you are a graphic designer or know someone who is IÆm more than willing to work with him and have him do parts of the graphics. Or if you simply want a certain tune used then I will do so. HereÆs an example of how I once æflashifiedÆ someone elseÆs static art into an animation. You provide me with the graphics and IÆll effectively bring them alive. This also illustrates that the movie doesnÆt necessarily have to be a crazy animation with south park quotes. If you want me to make a commercial depicting your corpÆs industrial capabilities and their web-based shop IÆm more than happy to do this. This means that, instead of flash, this 2nd version will be in avi/divx/wmv/mpg form which can easily be saved and played on many devices. More interestingly, it can be shown on Eve-TV whom have already shown interest in my work before. Your alliance, corp or bloody face on EVE-TV. Smell that fame? Because I sure do. ( Note that I said try. Static flash is a whole new ball game and is much less flexible than normal Flash. On top of that I'll have to mind copyrighted material such as sound effects due to EVE-TV's rules. I'm just trying to make this auction as lucrative as possible since bids have gone way way WAY beyond my expectations ) EDIT: Oh yea one other important thing. This movie will obviously contain the winners corp, alliance and whatnot. If for example Shinra wins they'll probably want that in the movie. However if after a month Shinra leaves LV, my movie will be inaccurate and look silly. Things like editing texts are, however, quite simple procedures. As such, even after creating the movie, I'll provide a lifetime warranty which allows you to bug me at random times to change some thing. Please note that these are for little things. If the movie contains a minute long scene of an Avatar pimping around and doing a 360 indy kick flip before destroying a planet and you suddenly want it replaced by something else since you lost your bloody flag ship then it's not going to happen :p I AM LEAVING AND SELLING MY LAST FLASH MOVIE!
