Hi, I'm not sure what's going on, tried to search the forums here and the internet and found nothing.....
I'm trying to mine, as soon as I get to a belt there are these huge powerful pirate ships now.
Anybody else unable to mine because of this?

I have no weapons, just 5 drones.... only used to get 3 blood raiders max, I'm in hi-sec 0.5
As soon as I warp into belt they are there.
I even warped back to dock and they followed me?
Never seen this before.
I have one mining laser in a skiff. |

Seekers are semi-new npc's. They are passive until you attack them, so if you are not prepaired for proper pve, avoid shoooting them.
Edit: If you see Drifters (Apollo Tyrannos and Artemis Tyrannos), i suggest leaving the grid asap as if they decide to agres your barge, they will alpha you

Are they actually shooting you? There's some that fly around and scan stuff,and if you leave them alone they don't shoot you.

Ahh, those are not pirates. They are sleepers. Do not shoot them and they will not shoot you. They will just scan you. Just keep eye on them though as their behavior might change soon. Don't even try to fight them without fleet. They have been known to destroy even carriers with one shot from their doomsday weapons. Happy mining ! |

And maybe still does, not up2date now with Mosaic.

Reading topics like these makes me smile, in a good way.
They're semi-new NPC's indeed, with a wide variety of behaviours, they're quite unpredictable at the moment, and that's part of their enigmatic appearance.
CCP is slowly releasing from what I've understood on a video, slowly but surely, a different system of AI programming on these NPC's. So what's absolute in their behaviour right now, might outright change the next day.

This is actually awesome. You get big rats warp to belt. Target you. have 2 minutes to warp out or they Alpha you.
Non AFK pilots will be safe, and the chance to beat on big rats.
