I haven't had the chance to get on sisi yet to try any of these shiny new Kali toys out, but I did have a question about this new voice comm feature that will be integrated into the client. I'm not sure if this has already been asked/answered, so if it has just link me there and lock this up please :D
If the voice comm stuff is integrated in the Eve client, what happens when the Eve client crashes (which we all know it likes to do)? I know the voice goes through different servers, but if it's running through the client then surely it would crash as well?
If this is the case, I don't think you'll be seeing people in larger alliances/corps risking losing voice comms after a client crash. Couple this with the fact that we have to pay for a service that we won't be using, and a few people could get angry
This isn't a whine thread (ok well maybe a little), just wanting clarification on whether this situation will actually arise.

No clear information on this was given by CCP. EON #4 talks about an "EVE Lite" client that will have out-of-game voice capability integrated with in-game channels. Seems that if such a client is in development then out-of-game voice functionality in case the main client dies should be a standard feature from the start. ... |

Interesting. I have been on Sisi, but AFAIK the voice isn't on there for testing.
Any updates on its status?
