ôThe Graduatesö [TGRAD] is a corporation which manages the ISS Cassini Station in EC-P8R, one jump from Empire space in Pure Blind. It was started by instructors, staff, directors, and graduate students from "Eve University".
OUR GOALS:
- To be a place where 0.0 space players can go to broaden their game and play experience.
- To be a ôGraduate Schoolö for seasoned empire players who want to try out 0.0 space and PvP.
AFFILIATIONS:
- We are members of the ISS alliance and manage ISS Cassini.
- We maintain a strong relation with "Eve University", a corporation for players new to Eve.
What are the advantages of joining "The Graduates"?
- Freedom to experience everything Eve offers whether its Industry, Trade, PvP, Mining, Missions, Ratting, POS & station administration, Research, Alliances, etc. To be able to enjoy both 0.0 space and Empire.
- No Forced ops & no corporation slavery.
- PvP friendly with a ship subsidy policy.
- Access to ISS station services.
- Access to other ISS territories.
- Teach at "Eve University", if interested

But i'm hoping to by getting some seriously needed PVP experience. Been in Eve 9 months now, have 9.2 mil SP (none in industry) and fly amarr inties and AF's. I'm a UK resident so am active during the EU timezones (5pm GMT onwards, plus weekends).
I'm not really looking for anything but PVP, maybe a little PVE for iskies, so the corp management side is a no brainer for me. Most important to me is to fly with guys that have a good friendly attitude and know what they are doing

Four months ago, TGRAD members ôgraduatedö from Eve University to help manage a public outpost in EC-P8R (ISS Cassini). Our goals were to provide a place for players new to 0.0 space to go to experience it.
During a 4 month sojourn in Pure Blind, we were able to give many Empire players their first taste of life in 0.0 space. And life in EC- P8R was exciting.. very exciting. Diplomatic crises placed us in a state of continual war. As the kill boards will attest, we lost and killed many ships in EC-P8R. We also gained plentiful PvPing experience.
However with the fall of the public station, our mission there has come to a close. Therefore, TGRAD has agreed to rejoin Ivy League (home of Eve University). This will allow us to teach IVY students some of the lessons we learned, and prepare ourselves for the next opportunity (wherever that might be).
See our old Cassini video, whose retro-theme has now become strangely appropriate.

We have quite a number of EU timezone players. Our wide timezone coverage and large member base (200+) means there is always activity. Members can participate in both corporation and alliance ops (which occur regularly). Since 90% of the alliance is located within <10 jumps of each other, there is alway the critical mass needed.
We have training courses, PvP reimbursement, excellent ship logistics.. the works.

We are located in Syndicate which is NPC 0.0 space. We require the use of Ventrillo for PvP. While there are 0.0 mission agents from pirate organizations, it isn't our main focus, and we don't break up into gangs by nationality. :)

I've just submitted an application. I have two mains. The first is a 16.5m SP miner/industrialist who jockeys Amar freighters & transports as well as T2-equipped hulks. I'm a pretty new player looking for a corp. < 2 mil sp I started a year ago but didnt play long. I am now back rolling and I don't want to fall into the same rut as before......Last time I wanted to solo a bit to get the feel of the game and then I just got bored with doing missions.
I think I have a better feel for the game now and want to join in the Corp thing. I have yet to group or talk to anyone cept in "general" which was usually me asking questions.
Anyhow I was perusing the forum and was drawn to this post. Someone recruiting almost everyday for a year! Thats tenacity! Props to you Manas I am gonna give your website a look see.

TGRADs and the BRUCEs are great!
I joined and found a bunch of great mature people working together to realise a common goal and vision.
0.0 life can be harsh where we live in Syndicate and all due to the many interesting things we encounter. And there is no shortage of pew pew for those who care. Ofcourse, there are rooms for the care bear types as well.
The alliance and the number of corp members online 24/7 is amazing. I hail from Singapore and was initially thinking it would be hard to find people online to fly with because of my timezone. How wrong I was. There are guys on all the time, though certain times are 'quieter' than the rest.
Anyway, the people from TGRADS and BRUCE are great to fly with and are mature, organised and fun. Exactly the thing I was looking for in EVE after I became bored soloing L4s all the time.

While I am not eligible to apply to your corp yet(only 3.1 mil sp so far), I have a few questions I would like to ask (sry if these questions have been already answered in the thread...)
-If I join TGRAD, how often am I expected to be on? I am currently in college and my play times/lengths are highly dependent on the amount of tests/papers/hw I have. Some weeks I will not be on at all, while others I will be on for much longer.
-What kind of ship do you expect me to fly if I join TGRAD? I currently fly a cruiser, should I start working toward flying a bs/bc in order to be useful?
-While playing EVE, I have spent nearly all of my time in highsec (.7+) running missions, and therefore have 0 pvp experience. While I am very interested in pvp (yay for *pewpew*!), should I already know the basics of pvp if I enter TGRAD or will you be willing to train me from scratch?
I've been reading recruitment threads for a while now and so far TGRAD sounds like a great place to be! I'd be grateful if you took the time to answer these questions.

Through the "BRUCE University" we are able to provide training even for pilots new to 0.0 life and PvP. While we have no firm participation quota, inactive players do get pruned on occasion.
Currently, we tend to peak at about 120 members online for major occasions. Even in the slowest of times and timezones we have about 15-20 on (we have a fair number of pacific based players). The Leadership and FCs come from many timezones. We also are members of a large alliance, for which alot of joint activities are done.

I remember my first day after arriving at the TGRAD home base in 0.0 with no experience whatsoever in 0.0 life. I was thinking 'What the heck do I do now?'
I wasn't even sure if it was safe to undock from the NPC station since this was '0.0' where ships are never 100% safe. Don't get me wrong, there are blues everywhere in locals and the surrounding systems, so it wasn't as if I was alone in the middle of nowhere.
It felt like moving to live in college on the first day, and trying to adjust in the campus, the dormatories, the room mates and the people busily going about their daily life.
Took a while for me to get into the routine of things, but for the first few days, I was a total noob. Just to get the ball rolling, I did a few missions (which I was familiar with in high sec) and rat a bit. Wasn't too bad, the LP was better in high sec, the rat spawn juicier... I was happy.
Until I lost my first ratting ship.
I forgot in 0.0, there is always the hidden danger of enenemy gang incursion. I became to complacent and thought, "hey, I am in BRUCE heartland, what can go wrong? There are blues everywhere, and I am sure help will arrive just around the corner."
It doensn't take long for a high skilled Ishtar pilot or a few Vagas and HAC's to rip your 'ubber' ratting ship aprt, when all along you could tank a whole room full of NPC's BS in your Lv4 mission. Funny eh?
Now every time I dock, I would watch the intel channels for reports on hostile movements and check local for reds. it doesnt take much common sense and just a few good habits to stay alive in hostile 0.0 land.

This has got to be a f'en joke... For 2 weeks I have been trying to contact Manas on my main about joining. So has my friend. Were both out of luck seeing as he never accepts convos, just gives an impression of being perma afk. And yet he keeps bumping this thread. His corpmates have absolutley no idea how would any potential recruit contact him either.
Listen bub, you might be busy irl, but being the only recruiter and giving the impression that you're still recruiting while in reality you are not is bad business practice. Maybe try, oh I don't know, like create more recruiters to take yer workload off you. It's called delagating and that's what leaders do. Either that or post a message saying you are currently not recruiting. Misleading posts ftl.
If the corp wouldn't have such a great and mature playerbase I would have given up trying ages ago...

Sorry to hear that. I have a 9 day year old newborn which may explain my tight scheduling. Combined with BRUCE's recent offensive, unsolicited cold convos (not from CEO/diplomats/members) are getting last priority.
Please send me an evemail with more information on yourself and your character. It is possible that your orignal was lost among the 15+ evemails I get a day. Please note that in addition to our minimum SP expectations, we are looking for people who will fit into TGRAD. We will also reject applications if we feel there might be security concerns, tangible or not.
I chose to do 95% of the recruiting myself inorder to get a feel for the suitability of the applicants, and have final say.

Hi all
I am 5,3 Mil SP Gallente char. My char is PVP oriented but I have only few timer participated in anything PVP oriented. I can use Assault ship and Cov Op ship.
Am I a good candidate for TGRAD? I don't want to apply without someones consent.
PS. I would like to participate in smaller PVP fight thus learning how to play as a part of team. If it is needed I can send my chars API details.

I'm interested in joining this corp but I have a couple of questions still.
- I'm working to bring up my standings up with Gallente (faction) but the corp has a negative standing toward Gallente, if I join how will this affect my standings? (big hit or not)
- Your current tax rate is 15%, 15% of what?
- I keep seeing info here and there about public chat channels (like join this channel if you're interested in joining...) Where do you find these channels? I've tried checking the channels list on the right side of the in game screen but the only channels I've found are generic ones (trading, local, blueprints...) Where are the more specific ones and how do you find them?
- I'm looking to join a corp because I want access to 0.0 stations and I want to learn tactics for pve and pvp fighting (my skills have been concentrated on mining and markets to this point)Is this the right corp or should I join eve university? (my SP are at 15 million)
I have many other questions but I'll leave it at that for now. That would be another reason for my desire to join, lack of useful info from rookie corp and help channels (they tend to have a great many spammers and trollers for some reason)

Not at all, unless you start running caldari missions, and even then you would have to actually shoot at Gallente; You can just turn those missions down (you can turn down one mission frome each agent every four hours without harming your standings).

If you want to learn PVE you are better doing it in HiSec space before you go to 0.0. There are a number of corps you can do this with. Eve university won't normally take u at your level of SP, unless it's as a tutor. TGrad are a good corp to teach you 0.0 pvp, though.

I'm interested in joining up. I've been away from the game for quite a while, though: last time I was actively playing (and not cooking my skills) was during the Great Northern War (with the originalCurse Alliance and m0o corp... what the hell happened to them, anyways?).
Nowadays, I'm running missions and playing catch-up on some skills I suddenly find myself wanting really badly.
I would love for an opportunity to actively engage in 0.0 experience once again, especially the PvP aspect of it

I played in Beta but was diverted to other projects for a while after EVE went gold. Though my Date of Birth is 2004.06.05, I have 13m SP. I am now actively training my skills and have a good command of all non-PVP aspects of the game(I intend to invest in PVP courses with Agony Unleashed). I cut my teeth on flightsims such as the early 90s Janes series. IÆm currently flying a Rohk in lvl 4 CalNavy missions with T2 equipment and leave any mission unscathed. I use a Scorpion for infrequent mining operations and a Cormorant for salvage. I'm a 36 yr old disabled war vet(aviation) and Business Intelligence Consultant (Database admin/dev). Though IÆve never been in a corp, I believe IÆm prepared to be a valuable member. I did much homework in finding æThe GraduatesÆ as my one and only target for employment, and respectfully request an interview at your earliest convenience.

I am a 25.5 mill Sp character who can fly all gallente ships up to carrier / dread and T2 Hybrids and other fittings. All other races ships up to BS
I am mainly looking for a bit of quiet mining at the moment while i recouperate from my illness (nothing too serious) with a bit of pvp thrown in every now and then.

Hi there,
I'm interested in joining. I am a returning player to EVE.
I played eve for a little over a year, in the end I lost interest due to lack of skills etc.
A friend has quit because of joining the army, he sold his chars for ISK on forums and left the ISK to me. I am currently in the process of buying 2 characters of forums.

I was one of those with a low sec status. Almost -2 I think when I applied. As long as you aren't fervent about pirate culture. Speaking for myself I just got bored, so my sec status woke up from a drunken stupor one day to find itself below zero. In TGRAD you'll be in 0.0 exclusively and we have a good list of red boxes help satiate your pewpew demons. No need to pick on the innocent when we have enemies that need some sloppy laser surgery.
