By pos you mean stations/outposts?
In the back story it was some gallente guy starting a cult or something.. quite a good read but I don't know the link off hand.
The first player built one was by ASCN iirc.

apart from the fact there was no Prime Oribtal Systems it was just Oberon Incorporated that built that second outpost and they were part of the stain empire at the time. Anyways i imagine both the entities shipped the parts from empire though i simply don't have a clue

If you go back far enough, before the conquerable stations were introduced, those who lived in regions without NPC stations did so with the use of Giant Containers. It was interesting.... kids have it so easy these days.

CYVOK's original announcement on the launch of Eve's first outpost, dated August 2005.
Seems my original screenies aren't up anymore, I'd upload them again if only I could remember my flamin' eve-files password. :S
Never mind, maybe I'll do a retrospective movie with the fraps and TS recordings I still have from the night... one day maybe...

Yes, had alot of fun hauling ark 40 jumps or so from "the head of the man" to the secure can depot at the entrance to immensea. And then waiting for Evol and Mass to stop camping the **** chokepoint before we could haul it into Curse to the nearest station.
God what a load of fun that was But of course, CCP has promised us mobile refineries by the end of 2003
God were we naieve

Edited by: arjun on 08/11/2006 10:22:21 oh the memories. nothing better than rushing south from gehi 30 jumps to pick up a load of bistot. then all the way back. on the way the infamous a2. i think we even used scouts sometimes. the 10 million that was the worth of the load was serious money at that time.
there were even evil pirates on the way. those bstrds. they made me so angry, i fitted my apocalypse with 800mm autocannons and laid a trap. the prirate gang fell for it with their scorps. i engaged and killed one (unbelievable but true). the rest ran away. was there no ew that time or what? no idea. of course i staied to loot the container. some mistakes i dont do twice. but still my very first kill ever in eve.
seriously. those giant container cities deep in 0.0 were impressive. some with dozens of containers.

I love that link, first post cyvok announcing and congratulating and second post ksudruid congratulating and inviting others to come check it out, even though it shows ksu's current corp and alliance ticker and bob signature
kind of an interesting look at how the times have changed.(btw not anything negative directed at ksudruid or anyone else, it just made me think a bit is all)
