Alliance Tourny Prizes.

The new ones, - dont have any use for an alliance. - probably wont be used by the owner either. - Dont see any Rp in it "a ship that rocks your socks off" - Cant think of a reasonable explanation as to why the caldari would give out a minmatar ship. The tourny has 120 entries and a 1bil entry fee, thats 120bil The old prizes were like 5 carriers and a motherships which is like 35bil? Dont know what the new prizes are worth but with the wallets people have these days (read t2 bpo yep i whine about that :P) I can imagine someone paying maybe 40bil for one. In short. at the moment these prizes are not fit for an alliance tournament and should be given out at the end of major storyline arc. With a decent discryption and a proper name "republic issue Storm" "Caldari navy corvus" Dont get me wrong Id love to own one of these ships. But i really, really dont see how they fit in thise event. zephirz

All we have is one man's word with some screenshots of ships in development. Before passing judgement on whether or not they are "suitable" for prizes, why don't you let CCP decide what they want to hand out. You take what is offered. And that must sometimes be enough.

This is an rp event and these dont seem appropriate prizes for this tournament to me. TBH im surprised so few people think the same. If you're worried about the RP side of it, rest assured CCP will cover it in good time. They arent gonna just hand some awesome ships with no backstory. If you're worried about the descriptions, remember those are taken on a super seekrit server hosted 10 miles under the CCP offices. They'll be done for release, don't fret. Combatants now have the chance to win something amazing. A mothership is great for the alliance, if and when it gets used. But dont assume that a ship as rare as one of these, of which there will only really be 3 or 4, will sit in a hangar. Ask Tyrrax about his impoc and how he likes to go pew pew in it. _ The pundits in the studio are talking , and despite not knowing what any of this means I am riveted

The Amarr succession tournament gave prizes to entire teams of winners and losers. You take what is offered. And that must sometimes be enough.

LeMonde did say that those were the prizes, as I quoted on my original post
