Every now and then i get a bug that drains all my cap constantly. I gotta dock refit, repackage my ship and it works again.. Now this is just annoying in emp space, but in .0 you can be out 30+ jumps from a station. Anyone know a way around it without refitting and repackaging? (and no logging and clearing cache doesnt appear to help). -------- -The only real drug problem is scoring real good drugs

Getting the same sort of thing atm, presume it must be a server side bug?

I usually find this is just a graphical (GUI) bug. It's because the client/server aren't agreeing on the cap usage of your ship/modules (this is an old bug that's re-surfaced )
I also tend to find that it depends on the ship I'm flying, its setup and the [solar]system I'm located in at the time... however even tho my cap has apparently drained I can usually still run modules (until my *real* cap runs out.... tho u won't know when this is until things stop working! )
Show them no mercy ... for you shall receive none! |

Just got that bug as well. Restarting takes care of it for me but it's annoying having to restart for something like that

This happens to me as well. Seems to be depending on the system I am in.
Yulai works fine and Luminaire doesn't for example.
Repackaging all modules and ship doesn't help. relog doesn't help....

I have it all the time now!
Nothing seems to help. Reloging. Changing ship. Repack. Clearing chache.

Yeah I get this all the time, I don't think it's a UI issue either. Warping drains about 10 times as much as it should so, and one little ab will drain the cap on my moa within seconds.
Is CCP aware of it?

I have a related problem to this. On my Thorax, the cap drains very slowly... but when I'm at half-cap as indicated by the display and numbers, modules begin shutting down because they're out of cap.

The cap display is doing all manner of odd things these days. Draining in reverse - draining to zero with any use at all - never draining at all.
I stopped these for a few days by reinstalling, but they all came back.
Don't uninstall without checking to see if your CD works. It's a good rule of thumb that I forgot last time I reinstalled.

its funny, my incursus will go down to zero cap and then slowly recharge, anything that reuses cap (like autorepete afterburner) then takes like 3 cap to fire. I've had it burn one AB on 3, the second on .8 and the third on .3 cap =P
My Iterion however goes into the negitives... Warping leave me at 1/8th cap and then my ABs will drain it and acutally make my cap UI say im at -400 cap!
I've found that either switching ships or putting my ship in the corp hanger and then taking it back out seems to fix it, tho not always (sometimes it requires switching and undocking). Generally whatever ship im in after down time is always "fixed" so if your planning a deep space trip for the next day, log off in the ship you plan to take out.

Myself and my partner have also experienced this problem, and so have various members of the corp I am in.
Seems to have started approximately a week ago. It's really weird and definitely seems to be dependant on the solarsystem I'm in. And yeah caps graphically appear to run dry (this is in my indy) and yet everything still works without a problem.
However, I've not yet had this problem with my BS. Whereas other corp members have. Very odd.

I seem to have this cap bug 80% of the time I play last week or so. And I travel through lots of systems. Tried repackaging ship and reloging. Now I see it has spread to my bestower that previously had no problems. This is really troublesome. Have to stop pvp until they fix it. No response from CCP bug reports.

Edited by: Tripoli on 17/11/2003 23:07:17 Needs to get fixed. Corp mate lost a Megathron to this now. Every once in a while it works ok, but today I can't get it to work at all. My cap drains in no time flat. Says it never drops below about 65%.
CCP needs to find and fix this bug before they do ANYTHING else. This should be considered a "Critical Priority Issue" by them cause the game just isn't playable with it. ---

I got rather sick of this bug last night so I tried a couple of things that have been suggested. 1) Re-logging had no effect, problem was still there 2) Re-packaging the whole ship and every module had no effect 3) Deleting my cache folder .... fixed it !
no more cap bug. none of us are free as long as one of us is chained none of us are free |
