Why not add a rig that increases the chances to resist nosing effects by XX amount. 30 - 40% chance to resist nosing effects etc.. etc.. wouldn't be a bad concept since it doesn't really affect the nos amount itself but theres always that one lucky/random chance ull resist going from 100% cap to 0. And its not too overpowered since u can get another chance when the nos recycles again.

Edited by: swoj on 09/11/2006 16:30:48 Whether a rig or a module, some form for Capcitor Hardening/Insulating device might be quite good. The device could either reduce the effects of NOS and Neuts at a fixed level, or could have give a chance of preventing the drain cycle completely.
edit: That said, making NOS less powerful anyway would probably be necessary with or without new defense mods.

thats basically what it is a 30-40% chance to resist the drain cycle so they have to do another cycle to try again and drain. Granted its gonna sux with 6 nos's gazein down on u and it won't seem like 1 rig is doing much work but stack 3 rigs together and ull have a 60-70% chance to resist which wouldn't be bad especially for frigates who will be slapped around with the excessive nos use. Not only that but it balances out because your trading of valuable rigging slots as well which could be used for something else.

How about a cap rig that gives -25% NOS amount resist. This way if someone chooses to totally dedicate their ship to not getting nossed out would lose only 25% cap for t1 and 50% cap for t2 ships. ---------------------

yeah that would be awsome as well but then ull have issues where people will result to putting 7 nos and 1 gun LOL! i rather not fuel that rage and just leave it with a random chance to resist any nosing done

ah yes. its a very good idea. i think they should put in the rigs liek u mentioned but has anyone ever thought to "nerf" the nos and nuets? and when i say "nerf" i mean put in more specing skills into nosing rather than just one energy emission systems skill? i mean everytime CCP has "nerfed" something in the interest of the better goal it has actually worked out awsome...drones rock...missiles rock.....guns rock it seems to me whenever they "nerf" something it rocks...so i think they should "nerf" the nossing area and make u spec into it so the domi pilot for example.....in pvp i have noticed a lot are doing this....T2 drones, high slots are all nos and nuets, medium slots are multi specs and then the have a overall tank in there lows.....i understand they are making ECM war-fare to be awsome on the actull ecm ships which i like =) i dont like getting target jammed buy a domi...makes me cry...
but anyway i think they should look into a nos and nuet spec system that could increase range of default nossing and encrease the amount of the nosing per lvl or whatever...so someone with just that one nos skill would really suck at nosing and someone with the specs....would suck u dry b4 u get out a "wtf?"
sound cool? or is me rambling off again?

While we're at it, why can't i have my "anti-missile's rig" or "anti-enemy armor repair rig" That's how radical it'd be for asking for an anti-nos rig, you'll end up with whiners wanting their nosferatu's back to normal, they'll then be asking for counter messaures to assure decent capacitor flow. They'll even bring up ship philosophy and nosferatu's in the same sentence. You're basically asking for a rig to counter or ultimately destroy an entire weapon system. So again, why can't i have my anti-missile rig? It'd be better off completely dumping nosferatus out of the game, neautralizers are FAIR! Nosferatu's AREN'T!

That combined with making a small fixed portion of the capacitor immune to NOS (but not Neut)were the solutions Tux seemed to be seriously considering.
IIRC, he hinted it would come in Kali 2. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
