Despite getting anotepad to write a war story, with times and important stuff. AFter staying most of the evening online waiting for a fight. I lagged out in the first fight. Got killed on the way back to second fight and died because of jump cue in the third fight
I had the pleasure of listening to everything on teamspeak though, by that time i was too ****ed off to write anything down. Welldone to ASCN for fighting. Goodfight even thought I wasn't there.

I'm not sure how you can possibly lose 60 BS and kill ZERO, even shooting at random you're bound to have a few people that will lag to death. Beside looking briefly at BoB's killboard it seems it's not even the control tower that did most of the job, so I guess the excuse "we were lagging" won't get you very far.

Those of you who weren't there can only look on in envy.
ASCN made some good calls tonight, unfortunately we were on top of our game. No one I've ever fought against, no one, is better than we are when we're on form. ASCN could have done everything right, tonight, and the result would have been the same.
Kudos to those that fought, on both sides, regardless of loss both sides are duking it out as CCP intended. There are no login traps, no node hax, no cheating - it's fair and square.
My respect to you all.
Unfortunately I fear this may be the death knell of large fleet engagements in this war, certainly at least until some vast improvements are made in the lag generator. Oh well :(

the lag was quite bad for me. i never even loaded the hostiles until the end of the fight. even though i had a blast. and i was that BS, got out w/ half structure. dmg control FTMFW.

Yup, lagged through most of the first big fight (H8-), got to shoot at some dreads shortly after in 3ppt and was ok for lag in the third engagemetn at the 8q gate in same system.

T'was a nice sequence of fights.
Even in a slow-turning, slow-moving command ship, aand having to criss-cross 6 systems a couple of times, without instas or mwd, I've been able to catch all of them.
I didn't load at all in one of the fights, got queued for 4-5 minutes jumping into a 2nd, and got 3 minutes-long locking brackets flashing in a 3rd. So it was as hard from our point of view as it was from ASCNs. We get no freebees game-wise.
But, from 20.30 to 22.00 EVE-time, it was EVE at its best for me. Adrenaline, gut-calls, close-calls, mods that won't turn on, drones that won't scoop, pew-pew, glory and destruction  
Kudos to ASCN for bringing it out, and for an enjoyable evening.

Youve got numbers and big ships all you have to do is , respect your FC dont interupt him , no crap talk on comms , listen and shoot prim , work as a team , no stabs and fleeing from battle.

As far as I hear, most/all of the BoB gang were as badly affected. I was in all of the fights, in a close-range HAC, and I got on only 2(!) killmails. It wasn't for lack of trying either. Great fun anyway...

I am proud of no BoB saying "oh yeah we pwn!" but did well to kill what you did even with the lag... But tbh a lot of our ships was from a previous op and we had logged nearby(which was why a lot were fit for close range). but that doesnt excuse some of the setups

I can only speak from experience against ASCN fleets.. But a couple of things I've noticed (and this isn't smack, please don't take it as such):
1. Pilots warping out as soon as ANYONE locks them. Sure we warp out if we see mass targeting, but I've managed to get plenty of your pilots out of the fight simply by locking them (this includes support). 2. People shooting at people they know from the forums (I know it sounds odd). I fly three characters in fleet, 2 of them are unknown to most people and are left alone, this one always manages to get at least 10 - 15 people shooting at me every fight. 3. Aligning.. This is fairly basic fleet tactics, but while we are aligned and at speed, the enemy seems to sit still.
Just some things to work on, the first two come down to fleet discipline, the last is really up to the FC to control. We're hard to kill when we're in warp as soon as we see everyone turning yellow. While ASCN BS seem to start there aligning / warping as we target them (by that time you're already dead).

Interesting evening, lots of crazy fleet maneuvering was involved which is always fun in amongst the traffic queues of fail :(
A lot of us were affected by module lag as well, I had 60 seconds+ for most of it resulting in getting on a whole 4 killmails in my megathron, and wasn't even able to lock the dreads thanks to my sensor boosters refusing to turn on when I entered system, even though tracking comps and damage control came on fine and was able to warp around o_O.
Kudos to ASCN for bringing the fight this evening.

I'm going to attempt to do a write-up of what went down tonight. If there's inaccuracies please feel free to point them out.
It started with our dreadnoughts sieging the POSes in H8-, we were busy shooting the last POS in reinforced when our scouts reported a hostile ASCN fleet leaving from AZN into Paragon Soul. At that time we had reports of two additional hostile fleets, one within the vicinity of H8- (2/3 jumps out) and one in 3PPT.
The AZN fleet moved closer and closer until they came to a halt 2/3 jumps from H8- in xx-xxx. At that time our dreads came out of siege and moved back to our POS, we had decided to decimate the camp in 3PPT before we continued sieging the H8- POS. Our fleet moved to 3PPT fairly quick (even though we had jump queues and Dian sucking at giving us the correct destination). Once we arrived in 3PPT the majority of the ASCN fleet had warped away from the gate, we managed to kill a few stragglers but not much in the overall picture.
Then the order came to move towards the AZN fleet, who were sitting at a jump in unaligned. We moved 5 jumps towards them, but by the time we arrived within 1 jump their fleet was at a safespot or our scouts just couldn't find them. Meanwhile the fleet sitting on the other side of H8- had moved into VY-, one jump from H8-, and were sitting on the H8-gate. Our fleet quickly moved towards the YV-gate in H8- and we began jumping in. The majority of our fleet managed to get into YV- and luckily we loaded up fairly quick, we managed to kill a couple of ASCN once again. A part of our fleet however, was unable to jump into YV- and started ripping into the ASCN ships who jumped from YV- into H8-.
After that skirmish had cleared up, we set up on the OZN-gate where the ASCN fleet were jumping. Initially we didn't see much and many of them managed to emergency warp off, but after a few minutes lag cleared out for some of us (myself included). This is where we managed to kill the majority of their fleet, as we had all support on the gate and all battleships slightly further away. ASCN never loaded up properly. During battle one of our scouts reported that aprox. 6 or 7 ASCN dreadnoughts had started sieging our POS in 3PPT. Dian came in his pants and gave the order to move to 3PPT, at this time the engagement on the OZN gate was over.
We rushed towards 3PPT and while doing it we even woke up the big man. Our support came in when their dreadnought's siege cycle ended. Due to lag our support managed to scramble 4 dreadnoughts, but one of them managed to run away while were killing another. We ended up killing 2 moros' and 1 phoenix.
That's pretty much how things went down from my perspective. In my opinion I think we were in top form tonight, everything we did went perfect. We managed to outmaneuver 3 ASCN fleets and I think I speak on behalf of BoB when I say that this was one hell of an evening.

Gee, I don't see you fighting ASCN OR BOB at all. Until you do why don't you just enjoy the news and watch the show.
From everything I hear as, unfortunately, I'm still at work for another hour it was a good fight that lag and jump queues played a big part but that takes nothing away from the fact that BOB got a solid win in fair and square.
